When I woke up my sight was composed of lines, pixels, and numbers. My head rang with beeping and software boot ups for a minute till I actually got to see anything. This was my new body. I lift up my arm and see metal and wires and motors where my hands should be and it was quite an odd feeling, I could feel nothing; it was only sensors and cameras.The reason my body is now robotic is because I've downloaded my brain to a robotic body. The world is ending and the only way to stop it is for humanity to download their minds to the digital world or robotic one

“Hello patient 2431160. Hold on a moment till everything is operational,” a automated voice called from my right. I turned to my left to see that my human body lay lifeless. Wires and headsets were wrapped around my old body, “everything went well patiently 2431160. Mental download was a success, your new body will be mobile in a few minutes.” the voice called again.

“Successful? Does that mean there was a chance for it to be not successful?!” I zip my head 180 and stared at the doctors. Through my eyes- or cameras- or?... yeah cameras i could read all their faces at once. I could read them like a book front to back.

“Don't worry, Auryn, we've done this many times before, no need to worry.” the doctor at the foot of my bed said to me in a calm tone, but by his face and my new eyes i could tell that he was lying. 

The sound of motors and pistons became silent the more I moved, I looked around some more and I'm in awe of how well this whole thing went. I'm a robot now? I look at my hands in front of me and move my fingers up and down. The movement was so fluid and smooth it felt more natural than my human body. 

“Boot ups complete, software downloads complete, memory download complete, backup systems online, system wellness active, system protection protocol active, wireless connection is connected and the signal strong. All tasks are complete, patient 2431160 is now mobile.” The automated voice spoke to all the doctors in the O.R. once more and lights began turning on 

“Mobile as in I'm allowed to leave?” I ask the dr next me unplugging support wires from my body.

“Yes, and no need to worry about relearning to walk, the body does it for you, you will learn how to use it right about now actually,” the doctor gestured to another cord and computer with another scientist controlling it.

My sight went blank then a video showed up instantly. I was learning the info of this new body at such a speed I didn't know was possible. It displayed diagrams and codes and software that'll help me  customize the body to my liking. Then my vision returned to the normal screen of peoples readable faces. I got up and thanked the doctors and scientists for their help then walked out the door. Now knowing everything about this new body it feels like my old one, it responds to my every subconscious thought, exactly like a normal one would. I'm walking down the hallway of the lab and pass a dr who smiles and asks,” how's the new model feeling?”

“Just like my human body!” I started walking with a strut and a little bit of shoulder for a comedic effect.

“You're a funny one eh?!” They laugh as they walk away. I don't know where. 

I guess it would be funny to see a robot dancing like a clown down a hallway of the laboratory of such advanced technology. That Dr probably was thinking 'really? Millions of dollars in research and coding so someone could dance like a clown?' Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it.
