Lal woke up by the sound of his bus's loud stop. He groaned. He always hated getting up, as most people do, but for him, it was the worst part of his day.
Lal finally decided to get out of bed. He quickly put on his clothes, brushed his teeth, and grabbed his backpack. He was quite familiar with this process, so completing those tasks was not a problem whatsoever.
Just before the bus was about to leave, Lal yelled out for the bus driver to stop. He climbed up the bus stairs panting heavily after his high-paced run towards the bus.
The bus driver made a dissatisfied face at Lal just before he was about to walk through the aisle bus. "As always, Smith," she said, calling him by his last name, a habit only she would do to her passengers.
Being tired as he was, Lal continued his pace to a seat, and after an annoying search, he found an empty one and sat.
Lal sighed. "Another strenuous day at school," he muttered. "How pleasant"
Lal leaned his head on the cold window assigned to his seat.
The sun was just rising.
Lal spied a silhouette outside the window: a small deer, an animal that often is seen in his area. The deer always looked at his surroundings, paranoid for a predator to show up every moment, a habit common to the species.
