Marina is getting ready for her day, the sun is shining blazing through her curtain, she opened a window just so that she could smell the fresh new morning. She put on her favorite jacket with all the patches on it, the blazing red that stood her out like a sore thumb but it kind of fit her. Red is her favorite color; it shows bravery and boldness everything she strived to be. She wanted to be the best possible version of herself that she could be. As she finishes putting on her colored contacts, she notices that her brother Johnny is in the living room. He probably is reading a book or something, he must be since that's all he does in his free time these days as she thought to herself. She makes her way to the kitchen to grab a quick bite to eat before heading out and bumps into her sister Angel.
“Going to hang out with Astro today I assume?” She asks with a big snarky look on her face. She knows that Astro is basically the only friend that Marina actually hangs out with.
“Yeah i am '' Marina responds with a mocking smile basically telling her to mind her own damn business.
“Well, have fun! Oh, bring him back for movie night!”
“Alright, I will do it! Bye guys'' Marina closes the door behind her and starts walking to his house.
Marina can't help but appreciate these moments of freedom that she has on these hectic days. It reminds her to fight harder for her home, the rebels wont take this away from her not ever. She starts to feel herself rattle up. “No. Not today, today we relax. I'm going to spend time with Astro and everything will be okay, I need to save those fighting spirits for tomorrow.” as she takes a few breaths to calm herself down she spots astro in the distance. Astro is her very best friend, she knows him like the back of her hand she could make a list of all of his favorite things in a second.
They have been friends since they were both little.
They met when she saw him crying in the rain because he fell in a puddle therefore wetting all of his clothes and obviously felt bad for the boy and helped him up and tried to cheer him up. Thankfully he was easy to amuse as a child so it was easy.
But now they are both teenagers and basically inseparable. She saw him as a brother and no, not some kind of situation where he was stuck in the friendzone, this was genuine awesome friendship.
“Hey!” he waved his hands eagerly for her to see
