"Hey! Hikari! Wait up!" Two of my friends, Hoji and Gui were my friends for a long time now, actually ever since we've been apart of the temple. By temple, I mean Shaolin temple. Now I don't want to get into too many details on it, but all you have to know is that I'm a Shaolin. Well, a Shaolin in training raised by other Shaolin warriors. My father owns the temple, so they're part of the reason. "Cmon then slowpokes! Or we'll miss the ceremony!" This year was my mother and my father's 5th year anniversary together and this one was gonna be a special one....at least, that was the plan.
We started running to the temple after hearing an explosion on the hill, but when we got to a near distance....we saw smoke raising from within the walls and fire coming spreading on the outside. My eyes were widened with fear and terror. I called out to my mother an father. "MOTHER! FATHER!" Out of sheer stupidity, I ran in, hopping I could find them. My friends didn't follow though because the fire spread wide enough that there was only time for me to run in. I looked around through the fire and the flames, trying my best to find my mother and father, but I began to cough because of the amount of smoke rushing at me and surrounding me, but my father taught me to be brave, so I had to use that to my advantage. I searched and searched. Until I found an unforgettable sight......blood. On a blade. I was breathing heavily as I stared at the blade as my vision began to focus on a man wearing a dark purple kimono with a black dragon design on the top and just completely black on the bottom. My legs gave out bringing me to my knees. He cocked his head to the side as if he heard that, a soft chuckle then came out of him. "Don't worry." He turns around, I looked at his face, as I saw that he wasn't human. His eyes were of demons. "You shall join your father and mother soon." I looked down but slowly as I saw corpses.....of my mother and father. I started to breathe more rapidly as my eyes began to tear up. After that, I screamed in fear and flew into a rage of flailing strikes at the demon. "I'LL KILL YOU!!!!" My attacks were a mix of Shaolin and sheer random violence. The demon laughs maniacally and dodged all of my attacks. But what I didn't expect next, was the fact that he used a technique that only Shaolins know how to use. "Enough." He stopped laughing and whacked my hands away. He then hit my stomach with intense strength with two fingers hitting one of the pressure points. I dropped to my knees holding my stomach nearly throwing up. I looked up at the demon as he walked away. "C....come....back....he....." All of a sudden. I blacked out. After awhile, I wake up seeing Hoji and Gui's faces above me. "Hoji?....G-Gui?" I slowly sat up holding my stomach, they helped me up and stood me up to my feet. I looked around seeing that the temple was completely destroyed. I teared up sniffling and started to bawl. Hoji looked at Gui. "Guess it's just us now, huh?" Gui nods. "Yeah." They stood there in silence.
"So, that's basically my story." The scene moves to an older Hikari, who was talking to a monk. The monk sighs. "I see. Well I'm sorry I can't help you, but I may be able to try and help on the outside." The monk said. Hikari sighed. "That's fine. Thanks." The monk nods and disappears.
This is a story of a man with a cruel past
