I'm a British comics writer and editor who started my career at Marvel UK designing and then editing Doctor Who Magazine. I'm also the co-creator of "Crucible" with 2000AD and Interzone artist Smuzz, now featuring in SHIFT Magazine.
At Marvel UK I also edited titles such as Overkill, Death's Head II and Warheads. I've written mostly for British comics including Judge Dredd Megazine (Judge Karyn), STRIP Magazine (co-creating Black Ops Extreme for that title with PJ Holden), The Real Ghostbusters, Doctor Who Magazine, Gene Dogs.
I've also edited Star Trek Magazine, Star Wars Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine for Titan and many other licensed titles.
I run the British comic news site www.downthetubes.net and offer PR services to comic events organisers and others.

Gosh! I'm hearing of so many creators who've only recently caught COVID for the first time here in the UK it's rather alarming, including my co-conspirator on CRUCIBLE, Smuzz (he and partner Eira are hopefully now on the mend) - which many of you read part of here first on Tapas, the first part recently ending its initial run in in SHIFT Magazine.. with a collection in preparation from GetMyComics soon.

In other news, thanks to Peter Duncan, my creation, “Autospy & Ape” returns this summer to the new SPLANK comic.
The strip first ran in STRIP Magazine, initially drawn by Jon Rushby, then by Nicholas Sputnik Miller, who have kindly agreed those strips can feature in SPLANK.
Earlier this year, I put out a call for pitches for artists to draw the strip, and had some terrific responses. Thanks in particular to Gavin Pollock, who sent me a fantastic character sketch which he may wish to share in the comments.
I’m toying with the idea of an Autospy & Ape one shot, but with some major projects coming up and in progress, in comics, games and a return to a magazine I previously edited, it will be a while before I get to it.
Nick has drawn some smashing promotional art. Feel free to suggest gizmos you want to see added to Autospy’s gadget, and he will add them!

Among other things, I've been busy with editing the first issue of the SF adventure, "Pilgrim" for B7 Comics, and working on the second script - #1 is scheduled for release in October - and overseeing work on the 270 graphic novel "Tony Hancock - The Lad Himself", again on course for October, with Robin Jones doing a knockout job on lettering the pages drawn by Keith Page.
But we can't forget "Charlotte Corday - Race of Giants" by Stephen Walsh and Keith Page - and another episode has just been published!
Attacked by the alien Bagalags as she tries to win a bizarre race that may yet save the planet, Charlotte Corday finds her day goes from bad... to even worse!

Hello! My, I've been busy... working on the new graphic novel by Stephen Walsh and Keith Page, "The Lad Himself"; putting the final touches to an episode of "Crucible" for SHIFT (with thanks Jim Campbell!); publicising "Strawjack" - on sale now, a steampunk adventure by Keith Page, only available on Amazon (here - https://amzn.to/3tkkdWi); working on the editing side of B7 comics SF comic "Pilgrim", which I'm also writing!
