Light Earth Defenders is the result of Hunter M suddenly falling deeply in love with Japanese giant robots (often called mecha or super robots), proceeding to find and watch/read/play as many stories of them as possible, and saying “yeah, I think I’ll do that.” L.E.D. takes place in the year 2099, after the discovery of both a revolutionary cosmic energy source, and the the existence of a hidden mirror Earth in our own solar system.
