Captain Ben Cane is lost. When something went wrong during a pioneering civilian lead space mission, Ben found himself not only out of this world but in an entirely different universe. Now he must suffer trials and tribulations in order to find his way back home.

Jetpack Activate is an Action/Sci-Fi webcomic partially inspired or in the vein of The Adventures of Tintin, Usagi Yojimbo, and Astroboy.

The 1980’s were a wonderful time in cartoons and Mateo (Matt), being a latchkey kid, was there to lap it all up. Mindless hours had been spent absorbing tales where the good were good, the bad were bad and “knowing was half the battle!”

During that time he also discovered comics, having been given a stack of coverless throw-away’s the neighbor didn’t want. In December of 1987 the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cartoon debuted, and like millions of other kids he was sucked in hook line and sinker. He soon learned that it was based on a comic book and he would regularly beg his parents to take him to the local shop to buy some. He soon had a small collection of TMNT comics that he would share and trade with (or lose to) his friends for more stories to read.

This was when he began to make his own comics as well. Every movie, cartoon and comic became subject to crudely drawn one page stories he would create instead of paying attention to whatever he should have been learning in school.

Decades later and things haven’t changed that much…
