Dear readers,
I don’t know how many people are still keeping an eye on this little profile, but I wanted to try and put my feelings into words here.
I’m currently on vacation in Greece, and I honestly thought I was going to fall off my chair when I got the news at the beginning of last week that Tapas is shutting down. 😭 It’s just unbelievably sad. Why does it always have to happen to the good ones?
I have nothing but love for Tapas. The team was always kind, supportive, and hardworking. The community was loyal, thoughtful, intelligent, and empathetic. Honestly, I don’t even know what I’m supposed to do without Tapas. Of course Webtoon is still there, and I love my Webtoon community just as much. But the PLATFORM itself feels completely different. Over there, I always have this feeling that if I make one wrong move, they’ll delete my series. 💀 Maybe that fear is exaggerated, but that’s genuinely how it feels. It’s not even remotely comparable to Tapas.
And thank you so much to everyone who passed their last Ink on to me. I just checked and got so emotional seeing all the messages and how much Ink was waiting there for me. Thank you, guys. You’re so sweet!!! 😭
So, what happens now?
Depending on how long Tapas continues to exist - and keeps functioning normally??? - I’ll keep posting here too. One last concert on the Titanic! All the way!
Otherwise, you can of course find me on Webtoon. I also have my own Patreon-connected webcomic site, webcomic.melanieschober.at, where you can read black & blue almost completely for free. The only exception is the sex scenes, which have to stay behind a paywall for age-protection reasons.
And I’ll also look for another platform where I can upload the comic. I don’t know which one yet. I’ll figure that out once I’m back home.
Thank you again for everything. I’m going to miss you all so much.
Hopefully we’ll find each other again on one platform or another!

as it seems there is a bug within the early access episodes that leads to scene 7.16 being skipped when clicking on the "next" button. :/
The tapas-team is currently working on resolving that issue. So please don't be confused if you can't read the episodes you bought atm. It shouldn't take too long. :3
