Aleksandra Basak (Illustrator)

Aleksandra Basak, known in the Internet as ilustratOLKA, is Polish illustrator and graphic designer. She specialises in drawing comics and graphic novels. Her adventure with comics started in the high school when she read X-Men Second Coming (2010) . This was the moment when she fell in love with comic books and all the possibilities of creating new realities on the pages of the story. Then the dream about becoming comic artist has appeared and finally it came true. So far she illustrated a few short comic stories, like Hades, Aphrodite or Północnica, which was published in Polish comic anthologies. But Merciless series (based on Willow Winters’ books) was the first big project of Aleksandra which is fully drawn by her, including covers and interior pages. But it’s not the only comic book that she illustrates. As ilustratOLKA she runs her Instagram, Facebook and YouTube channel . These are places she shares her art, her current projects and of course her passion to draw.
