ONE- Conserving Corals

This is a one-shot educational webtoon. We recommend you guys to watch the documentary "Chasing Corals" because it's very informative. This is for submission to BIO 100- Philippine Biodiversity where we are tasked to show how we can help to conservation as student. We decided to be specific and chose to promote conservation of corals not only because of the threats to it but because corals are very diverse on species level. Knowing that they're on the brink of third global bleaching and most of the species cannot adapt to climate change, we really have to do something for them urgently.

The corals is very rich in species diversity and they play major role in landscape engineering of the marine ecosystem and gives protection and habitat to many marine life. In 1980's, coral bleaching started and they started bleaching and eventually dying. 1% of the 868 reef-building coral species that have been studied is critically endangered. 3% of these species are endangered, 23% are vulnerable, and 20% are near threatened. They must be conserved and this webtoon might teach you how. :)
