Hey... So, if you may have noticed by life being out of sorts constantly-- I'm going to soon start up a full-time job, so I don't think I can feasibly maintain Eris Goes To Hell.
HOWEVER, I am going to conclude the story-- in visual novel format. I'll finally show what I meant to, with Comicide, in a way that is an easier read and also doesn't take 2-3 years to make. The truest binge-reading experience, I guess!
I'll make an announcement here when I publish the visual novel, but I can't continue to fool myself that I have the capability to keep up with a webcomic with my life being as it is. It's unfair to me, and it's unfair to you.
Thank you for understanding, and thank you for supporting me. I hope I can deliver the story, as it's meant to be, for you all.
Hello! as you may have noticed, I've gotten behind. not to worry-- I'm uploading with two pages on wednesday. I'm trying to build up a buffer, so I'm working again in bulk!
Hey! Today's EGTH page gonna be a lil' late (but not by much, just meaning a few hours or so). Been doing a commissions sale all this week on my twitter so it's been busy busy @_@
(guess who's back, back a-gain, Thren is back, tell a friend)
so ive finally worked up the ability to do a webcomic again!
After analyzing a lot of what went wrong with how I wrote Comicide, I realized I tried to do too much, and in the end didn't finish anything. So, I'm focusing on a single character's overall story. You'll recognize some people soon enough, though!
Oof, well, this is probably what a lot of you have been dreading. I fear I won't be returning to Comicide, since after 3+ years of working on it, it has only drained me to work on a narrative for so long. I also have been slipping in page quality, as some of you may have noticed, and I don't want to keep uploading bad pages for completion's sake. The fact it'd have taken 10 years to complete the story just, exhausts me (that's with updating twice a week!) Ambition is good, but sometimes you need to know your limits.
I will be continuing to make work, also using the same characters-- just, smaller, episodic comics (like the first few chapters of Comicide), and not a lengthy narrative where I have to push through a ton of slogging content to get to what I wish to depict. As well, the writing for the overall story doesn't meet my current standards, and I don't want you all to wait 10 years for a sub-par story.
Either way, I plan to make more work, soon, and I hope you can forgive me and watch my work then!
Thank you very much for your support,
Threnody JG/Mortooncian
Super late of me to read this, but I totally understand the decision! I'm not even finished reading the whole story that's posted online, so don't mind me posting more comments xD Either way, I''m really looking forward to whatever you will write and draw next, because honestly your comic is one of the most unique one's I've seen online, both because of the special art style, and your epic combination with music. And the original story! Best of luck with future stories, and I'll make sure to follow you and them!
Hello!! It's been a while! Just wanted to say I only have one more place to move (because my new roommates, are ALSO moving), and so Comicide will relaunch in July!
I'm still dealing with moving and life stuff, but Dan (Comicide's main contributor) and I have been friends for eight years, so I drew him Aries and Faustine!
Sorry if this sounds inappropriate, but while I was observing it a detail popped to my eyeview. While seeing the lighting of the scene I found it and wondered... is Faustine not wearing anything under that? ._.
Hi! Just wanted to update you all to say that I'm not dead-- I'm getting everything together to move out of state, which is why it's been really, really intense work recently!
Once I'm settled, about mid-June likely, Comicide will resume! Thank you for your patience <3
