Margoat is my pen name. I grew up in a large family and was homeschooled until 9th grade. For as long as I can remember, a lot of my time growing up was spent drawing comics. My main goal on this platform is to share the story of how unfortunate events that took place in my teen years, shortly after my family moved from Baltimore to New York, landed my siblings and I in New York's foster care and public school system all at once. In my comic style memoir I want to explore how the events in my life have affected my perception of my own mental health.
