Brendan is perpetually a character in a Haruki Murakami novel; meandering through life and not doing a particularly good job of it. He used to work in a bookstore and now owns many more books than he could possibly know what to do with.
A few fun facts about Brendan:
- He has more thought-out novels than he has time to write them and is very backlogged at the moment. All new novel ideas will now have a minimum wait time of two or more years. He apologizes for this inconvenience.
-He never at all understood how people could write in coffee shops. It freaks him out. He says he needs complete silence. He has a nice little desk and chair situated directly beside his north-facing window, looking out at his city below from a second-story panorama. And in the summers, Brendan takes his work and his entire desk and brings it outside on to his spacious, little balcony and works from there. It’s idyllic.
