Nori was enjoying the sleep in his little room. Four days with out it was worth it.
This was the safest he felt in a while. Everything was great other than the loud rock music that was playing on a loop. It was that AC/DC song 'Back in Black.' Or something. It was coming from Rylan's room. Nori got up stumbling a bit as he walked to Rylan's room. It was an alarm clock. He shut it off, as he started to shake Rylan. How the hell did he sleep through a blaring alarm clock? Why have one in the first place?
"Mmm....Noo...." Rylan muttered, rolling over on his back. Nori tripped and fell right on top of him. "Ugh... love . If you wanted to cuddle, you could have just asked." He muttered rubbing his eyes.
Nori groaned rolling onto the bed. The hell with it. He was tired, and the bed was warm.
"As much as I would love to stay here and cuddle with you. I think we should get up and have breakfast." Rylan laughed lightly, ruffling Nori's hair.
Nori sighed, Rolling off onto the floor.
"Come on now. There's no reason to be so dramatic. I'm sorry my alarm clock woke you up." Rylan said pulling him off the floor. "I've been known to sleep perfectly through an earthquake."
Nori laughed slightly. This man literally had to be the nicest person you could ever meet.
"So Nori. How about Pancakes for breakfast?"
How long had it been since he had actually had a good breakfast? He typically skipped because of work, despite it being his favorite meal of the day.
"Hey love. Get the eggs from the Refrigerator for me." Nori nodded and ran to get them. The two of them ended up cooking together... Which was actually really fun. And really messy.
Nori threatened to pour the bowl over Rylan's head, because he kept taking tastes of the batter. When they were finally finished, the two took a seat by the window.
"So what are you studying at your university?" Rylan asked.
Nori took the note book to quickly write something down.
'I'm studying criminal minds and psychology. I want to get my doctorate in forensics."
Part of him wondered if Rylan would ridicule him as well. For some reason people found it odd.
"Cool. Rick actually tried to do the same thing but then realized he preferred the field." Rylan explained.
Actually knowing all the cops in the station, would certainly help Nori get the job. There were lots of other people who wanted these type of jobs.
Rylan's phone went off playing another rock song, breaking the peace and quiet.
"I'll be right back love." He said walking out of the kitchen.
"Must you disturb my mornings?"
Rick laughed on the other line. "You're lucky I'm not raiding your apartment for breakfast. How's Nori doing?"
"Better. He's tearing through breakfast, so I think that's a good sign."
"Good to hear...."
"Come on mate. You called for a reason. What's wrong?" Rylan asked.
"We found Max.... He didn't even know Nori had gotten away. He had tape and rope in his car but was going on about how much the kid loved him." Rick explained.
"That bloody bastard is as mad as a cut snake." Rylan sighed.
"I don't know what the hell that means but you and Nori should get down here. We're going to have to re-question him. That way we can get Max behind bars as soon as possible."
"We're on our way." He said ending the call.
"Nori.... They found Max."
Nori stopped eating, suddenly not hungry anymore.
"They want us back at the station."
Nori nodded slightly. He didn't know if he could face the person who kidnapped and chained him up.
Rylan gently ruffled his hair. "It's going to be ok love. He won't be able to hurt you. I'll be right there the whole time, and you won't have to see him."
"Come on Nori. Go get ready, while I clean up." Rylan said ushering him toward the hall way.

The station was still freezing cold, like it was last night. Part of Nori wanted to clutch to Rylan, to avoid getting lost. He had to keep up appearances so he wouldn't look like a scared child.... Even if he still couldn't talk.
Rick came up to the two of them.
"Don't you dare say anything to us about being late." Rylan glared at his partner. His accent being much more noticeable.
Nori supposed that when he got emotional, Rylan didn't care how he spoke.
"I only have a vague idea of what you said. Come on, Max is back here." Rick said, leading the two of them back. Max was sitting at a table with his hands cuffed to it. He was still wearing that smirk that sent chills down Nori's spine.
Nori had to stay in the room, behind the one way glass, with another police officer. Rick and Rylan, however went into the room with Max.
The intercom was on, so Nori could here what the three of them were saying. He could probably speak as well. The things Nori wanted to say to Max, would give a nun a heart attack. Though he was still confined to no words.
"Maximum." Rylan said glaring at the older male.
"Rye. It's so good to see you. I see you've killed off your accent a bit. I can finally understand you. How are your siblings doing?" The whole time Max was speaking, he never took his eyes off the one way glass. He knew Nori was there, even if he could not see him.
"Maximum, I want to know why you did this." Rick said calmly. He had done this many times before, but at least this time it had a happier ending.
Nori could see Rylan looking less than calm in the situation. He looked like he may take a swing at Max any moment.
"Why don't you ask Rylan here? I mean, it's been a day and I can tell he's already attached to my little doll."
Rylan was about to say something, but was silenced by a glare from Rick.
"Tell me. Does he look up at you with those doe eyes of his? Does it make him look so innocent and fuckable?"
"Maximum, you son of a bitch, you're a damn psychopath."
Nori felt like he almost stopped breathing. His face burning. Maximum was trying to compare himself to Rylan to get a rise out of him. It looked like it was working. If they did get in a fight, the station couldn't hold him.
"Rye. Go out side and take a break."
"Rick, you can't..."
"Now." Rick said more sternly.
Rylan probably wanted to argue more, but kept quite and left the room.
Nori assumed it was for respect for Rick himself, as well as the fact Rick out ranked him.
Rick was left to do the rest of the interrogation himself. "Max, you're not going to get out of this. An officer found someone locked away in your house. Just tell me why the hell you did this. Why do you want to kill Nori?"
"I never planned to kill him."
"You just happen to have rope, Hydrated Lime, and tape in your car?" Rick asked.
"Perhaps another situation called for it. How do you know those contents were meant to kill someone?"
Nori decided it was his turn to take a break as well, he walked out of the room quickly, determined to find Rylan. Maybe he had calmed down a bit, and they could talk this out. Although Nori wasn't sure how to approach the fuckable comment.

Nori quietly walked into the break room for the the police officers. It was empty save for Rylan who pacing back and forth. Rylan was the emotional type, as far as Nori could tell. He knew how to control it though, it was kind of endearing.
He gently put his hand on Rylan's shoulder, who had not noticed him walk in.
"Don't." Rylan said pushing his hand off.
Nori jumped, not expecting that reaction from Rylan. He knew it wasn't his fault, and that Rylan just needed a minute to himself to cool off... Of course that didn't stop Nori from coming with eight different reasons as to why Rylan hated him.
Rylan's bad mood disappeared instantly, once he saw that he upset Nori. "No. Nori. I'm sorry.... Maximum pissed me off and I was taking my anger out on you." He explained, putting his hands on Nori's shoulders.
Nori really hoped he was not blushing, because that would take this situation somewhere new. He was not about to have a crush on a man he just met.
The worst part about this situation, was that he was so short compared to Rylan. He had to tilt his head back to look him in the eyes... Which was really difficult at the moment.
"Sorry, Love." Rylan laughed lightly, stepping away from him. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. Max just really got to me, and I really hate to say that."
Nori knew this situation was completely caused by that. After all, he was agitated the whole way here. He gave Rylan a look, that he hoped meant, I know that's not the whole story.
By the way Rylan sighed, it did.
"Maximum has a lot of important contacts. Contacts that can get him out of this no problem. I'm worried that he's going to pull something and not even see a trial."
Nori's face must have showed all the fear he felt. Max was a psychopath, everything that he had done to Nori. What he was planning to do. He was going to kill him, for fucks sake.
"Hey, look at me love. I'm not going to let him hurt you. We'll find away around this, ok?"
Nori nodded, running his hands through his hair.
"Come on. I'll sort the questions that you need to go through, and then we'll go get something to eat."

Rylan had kept his promise about getting dinner for the two of them, but not until it was around 9:00. They were dead tired, and ended up getting take out.
"I swear I will end up killing Rick." Rylan muttered, setting up the table.
Nori laughed, as he took a seat. It was actually nice to eat dinner with someone. Rylan had done most of the talking, since of course he couldn't. He just nodded and wrote things down to answer questions.
Rylan chuckled. "Alright love. I've got to get up early, so I'm going to go to bed." He gently ruffled Nori's hair, before he left.
Nori smiled, smoothing his hair back in place. He like this. Meeting Rylan, and becoming friends with him. He wore his heart on his sleeve and Nori knew he could trust him. Being drop dead gorgeous was just a bonus... and fuck. Nori had a crush on him.
