The clocked ticked annoyingly as Ash got up. He picked up the phone and the clock read 6:00 am.
*Great, I'd only slept for 2 hours.*
His morning routine was to wake up as early as 6 am, make breakfast, and plan a productive day ahead. However, today was not one of those days. He was still in a daze, his eyes were puffed from getting little sleep and he still had the feeling of not belonging in this body.
He walked towards the bathroom, avoiding the mirror as possible as he can. One of the things he hated was mirrors. You see yourself in mirrors and that was exactly what he hated: seeing the person that he truly is. He covered the mirror with a blanket and proceeded to shower.
"Why am I back? I'm not supposed to be back yet."
"Where did she go? Was there any traces of her before I woke up?"
"Something must have happened last night."
His thoughts continued, remembering every second of what happened last night; any indication that could lead to this. Usually he'd remember it.
But he remembered none of it.
No matter what he did.
What's the new variable to this equation now? He's not supposed to have amnesia.
