He checked his wristwatch to confirm the time: 7:00 am. It's a weekday and the classes start at 7:30 am.
Not sign of her today as well.
I am Ash. He repeated it to himself until he arrived at school.
The classes started. He listened to the professor's discussion until the very end. He did not understand a thing about it though. When class was over, he walked outside but a familiar voice called him.
"Hey, Cam," the person said, catching his breath, "Wait up. Aren't we supposed to eat breakfast together?"
His name was Ash. Not Cam. Ash. He nodded to the person in front of him, fighting the words that might come out in his mouth. Cam had black and brown-ish hair, curly on the ends. Ash had short, brown hair.
"So, you know how I was thinking that I should focus on my studies," The person in front of him, named Yuri, engaged him a chat, "But my mind always think of song lyrics. I just find it weird."
Ash kept quiet. He was one of Cam's close friends, but never knew what was happening.
"Why are you being quiet? It's not like you, Cam."
He winced at the name. He had always told others to speak less, including himself. Less talk, less mistakes.
And because he knew who he was and who he was not. And he was not Cam.
