There's something oddly satisfying when sitting across someone you like. The way he rolls his eyes after solving a physics question or glares when the question becomes complicated and the forrow of his brows that shows his determination to solve it.
I admired it all.
"Ari, stop staring and do your homework." I watched him slowly organized his answer sheets, checking each answer before stapling them together, "you'll have more of me when we get home," he said me after giving me a suggestive wink. I felt my heart skipped a beat and my face heating up so I lowered my head to my chemistry paper and tried to focus.
A few minutes later when the bell rung, signaling the end of lunch, we packed our bags and left the school library. Aaron, like the gentleman he is, carried my bag as we walked through the busy school halls filled with busy body students trying to get to class or just lingering in the middle of the hallway but when they seem to sensed Aarons presence, the sea of students quickly parted out of his way. I on the other hand trailed quietly behind him.
It wasn't long until we were done for the day and was on our way home.

On our way home I insisted we stopped at my favourite cafe down the street becuase I was in the mood for something sweet. Something like a chocolate waffles topped with vanilla ice-cream and strawberries. My mouth eagerly watered at the thought of but it was difficult to convince Aaron since he hated anything sweet. At least in the end I won him over. Maybe this time I'll add some coconut wafers to my sweet moutain delight.
"This is stupid," I giggled at Aaron glaring at the menu, "lighten up and try it for once." He leant back in his chair and looked out the window, "I still think its stupid and wasn't it recently you had your cavities filled?"
I face face burnt red in embarrassment as I threw my thin cardboard menu at him earning a few curious and alarmed glances from nearby customers. "Shut up," I hissed, "and that was two weeks ago." My heart did somersault when his laughter echoed throughout the cafe. Aaron only laughed when he's around me, he said so himself and for that reason I felt like his most prized gem.
"Excuse me," he paused when a cute looking waiter wearing a high ponytail stood at the edge of the table close to him. "have you guys decided what you would like to order yet?" The question was more for him than for me becuase I've ate here so many times and I only order one thing so every waiter knows what I wanted but still asked just in case I changed my mind. "Waffles and fried chicken with a mug of black coffee," Aaron answered in his usual deep strong voice. The waiter wrote his order in her small notebook before looking at me, "the usual and a berry smootie." Her head bobbed up and down as she wrote then turned to leave to deal with our orders.
It wasn't long when both of our orders arrived and we started eating. Me especially, with my chocolate waffles that was literally filled with warm hot chocolate fudge and the wafers was a good addition to it becuase it gave it a nice crunchy texture.
I was too busy basking in the chocolatey goodness to notice Blake and Julian entering the cafe.
