It is early in the morning and Lucy slowly begins to get ready for school. She packs her school bag and brings the journal with.
“Hurry dear or you’ll be late!” Hollered mother.
“I’m coming.” Said Lucy in an unenthusiastic tone. Still sad from the first page, she decided to continue reading during lunch.
Later that day, her friend asked her if she wanted to hang out with her but Lucy declined. She was more concerned about figuring out the clue and reading the journal. When the lunch bell rang, she immediately grabbed her belongings and ran out the door. Looking for a quiet place to read, she found a tree far enough from the school. Sitting down, she opens the journal and started to read.

It is really cold but I won’t give up. I need more money. I only have 25 euros left.
Later today, I met a kind, old man. His name is Jean-Pierre. Reminds me of my late brother’s name, Jacques-Pierre.
Goodnight, I will see you again.
Lucy briefly stopped reading and remembered looking at a small statue with the name Jacques-Pierre. She continued.

It is my first day to work with Jean-Pierre. I’ll learn how to bake my favorite bread, a baguette.
I did well on my first try, but I wish that I were stronger. To be able to knead the bread better.
As a reward for my hard work, he gave me candy. I’ve never had it but it was really good. Butterscotch candy.

I received my first pay, 10 euros. Enough to buy my favorite candy.

Please, I can’t lose him too.

An unknown man came to pick me up. He claims to be the son of the old man. He told me I should come with. I refused. I don’t want to leave him. He is my only family.
The man came back later that day. He said he will give me three days to prepare to leave this shop. Every day, I had my meals in front of my old man. Eternally sleeping, he looks happy. But I’m not, my meals don’t taste good anymore and I’m cold again.

I’m crying, I don’t want to leave my family. I saw the man bury my old man. I said my goodbye. I was given a letter by the man. He told me to call him papa from now on. But I can’t. I don’t want to.

I left France and arrived in a country called the United Kingdom. Luckily, I know English.
Today I met Marian and the man’s kids. I don’t want to get along because I’m too scared to lose someone precious again.
Lucy didn’t read a lot but she managed to know more about L.M. It was sad than happy, then sad again. Knowing that lunch break was almost over, she gobbled up her food and went back in.
“Soon, soon I’ll figure out who you are.”
The sun slowly hides from the day and the moon slowly peek outs for the night and Lucy looked at the statue.
“So, you must be L.M.’s precious brother?” Putting down the small object, she looked at the family picture from the second box yet again. A tall man, a woman carrying a little boy and two other girls were standing side by side, holding onto the woman’s skirt. “So this must be your new family huh?”
*Knock Knock*
Frightened by the sudden noise, she immediately put everything away under her bed.
“I’m not a criminal, why am I being so suspicious? Come in!”
Opening the door, Alfred peeked in and entered the room.
“I see that you are hooked on that mystery game.”
You know about it?
“Why yes, I am one of the 5 members that know about this game.”
