Let's Play a Mystery Game

Dead End

Dead End

Mar 24, 2018

Remembering the conversation she had with her grandfather last night, she decided to not think too much about it and tried to solve the next clue.

She looked at the picture again and read what was written on the back.

It floats on the river that leads to a bed full of white blossoms. A bed called, heaven with beautiful clouds.

Cicaden River and White Garden were the two places she thought the next clue was located. When she arrived at the destined location, she found an only a green field and another river but smaller, locating a small cemetery. She followed the path taking her to a grave. The farthest one from the rest. A tombstone with carved lettering. Here lies a strong-willed boy 1940-1957.

“Jean-Pierre? Wait a minute, where is the name? Is this Jean-Pierre but wasn't he killed in France? If it's not him, is it L.M? Is L.M. dead? Is this game even finished?” Lucy was confused and anguished. She felt betrayed for some reason because she didn’t know the truth or even his real identity. But then a flashback ran through her head about last night’s conversation.

‘I may not be L.M. but he wanted to let you know that he really cared for you. When you were only two years old, he cried holding the little version of you. He promised that he would create a game for you.’

“He can’t be dead, I met him before, he did finish the game, so that must mean there is still a continuation of this game. But, what did that clue meant? It floats on the river that leads to a bed full of white blossoms. A bed called, heaven with beautiful clouds.” Lucy didn’t give up, she got up to search for clues. When she was about to turn the other way, she noticed a miniature mailbox behind the tombstone. A red flag indicating the mail needs to be picked up. She opened it and found a letter with a red wax seal. Opening it, she found another key.

“Another key? For what?” Looking closely there were writing engraved. Room 254. Where does this key belong? The sun was hiding from the day and Lucy thought it would be best to go back home. Not being able to figure out what the key is for, she asked her grandfather for information but she only received a smile from him.

“He is so close, yet so far away,” Alfred whispered and Lucy heard but thought he was talking to himself.

“Goodnight granddad.” Lucy pecked her grandfather on his cheek before going upstairs to sleep.

“Just be patient Lucy, just be patient.” Whispered Alfred.

If you ever end up reading a lot of mistakes, it's because I write them during class because I usually don't want to forget and I immediately write it. :D

Till next time! :D
