“So Meli, Cara do you like anyone?” Meli asked. Cara blushed and Meli just shook her head. “Okay Cara spill.” Cara sat on the bed with her knees to her chest. She wore silky shorts and tank top. They were cute, white with little red roses and a bit of black lace on them.
“I don’t know. I kind of like Gavin, but I ran into that really cute guy.” Meli laid on her stomach over on her bed. She wore a long sleeve thermal shirt with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows and some comfy shorts.
“Do you think Gavin will have that spell ready for tomorrow?” I asked
“Yeah I would think so.” We talked for a little longer before heading to bed. Cara left and Meli and I got between the sheets of our bed. As I lay in the dark I couldn’t fall asleep. My body is exhausted but my mind won’t rest. I’m worried about so much. I thought about Hayden and the kisses we shared. With thoughts of Hayden floating in my head my mind relaxed and I slowly fell to sleep.
Lighting lit up the sky in purples, blues and whites. The rain still holding back. The wind blows around me. My dress blowing in the wind. I raise my hands flat towards the sky. A ball of white light floated above my palms. Lightning flashed and the ball exploded in a halo above my head. I looked up at it, a giant triangle was in the middle, arrows with different lettering pointed to north, south, east and west. Different lines intercepted through them. A small white glowing dot floated in the middle. That’s when I realized it was a map and the dot split into three and started to move. The three dots moved to different areas on the map. I mesmerized it before it collapsed, darkness closing in around me.
“Hey it’s time to wake up.” I looked over at Meli, she looked dazed and confused. I walked over to her and snapped my fingers in her face. “Hey what’s wrong?”
“I think I had a vision.”
“What do you mean you think? You normally come screaming out of your visions.”
“This was different, peaceful, and calm.” I handed her the journal and a pencil and watched her was she wrote down everything. She took up a whole page drawing a triangle with four arrows. She placed three dots in different spots.
“What’s that?”
“It’s a map?”
“A map to where?”
“I’m not sure. I need to get a map to find out.” Putting her journal away we quickly showered and dressed. Classes went by quickly, I learned about tarot cards, the A, B, C’s of a kitchen witch and an elemental chant. I love to learn something new every day. Knowing that I’m going to learn something new makes me excited for class. When our classes where over we headed out to our beach. Gavin carried a knapsack that looked heavy. When we stepped outside I looked around, I could tell that fall was just around the corner. The leaves are starting to change color, I can smell the trees, flowers and ocean in the air. It fills your senses and makes you happy. When we reached our beach I took off my shoes and dug my toes in the sand. Gavin set up six white candles in a large circle. He explained what he was doing as he was doing it.
“These are four triangle shaped incense made of acacia for protection and physic power, Echinacea for strengthening spells and love seed for friendship.” He placed them at north, south, east, and west. We each sat in front of a candle and lit it by blowing air across our palms. Gavin lit the incense and said the spell. “We call upon our powers to rise and fly across the sky. To bring the one we seek with power to help us five. As I may so mote it be.” The candles went out with a puff and we all looked at Gavin.
“So… did it work?” I asked. He shrugged his shoulders.
“We sit and wait to find out. He or she should be here before midnight… personally I hope it’s a guy, another girl would just be too much.” We all started laughing. Gavin cleaned up his supplies. Hayden built a fire while Meli, Cara and I went through Gavin’s bag of goodies. We pulled out sodas, chips and a huge bag of M&M's. We laughed and had a good time hanging out. Hayden wrapped his arms around me as we watched the sun set. He gave me long heartwarming kisses that melted me to my toes. Even with all this fun I couldn’t help but wonder who our mystery sixth mate is.
