I spent the rest of the day cooking meals and medicating Danelle, cleaning the house and mowing the lawn. She refused to talk to me every time a walked into her room, only nodding her head when she had to answer me. When I checked on her after dinner I found her asleep in her bed so I went for a walk on the beach. I don’t know what to do. I was skipping rocks across the water when Keven pulled in.
“Hey, so how’s your day been?”
“She refuses to talk to me.” Keven laughed.
“Well, what do you expect? Her to push all her anger aside and run into your arms?” I shrugged.
“It would be nice.” Keven laughed again and patted me on the shoulder.
“Relax, let her get used to dealing with you every day then explain to her why you held back on telling her. Tell her about your marriage and what it was like. Give her time she’ll come around.”
“Yeah. Do you want to come in for a beer and see her?” Keven laughed again and shook his head.
“No thanks, I’m not ready to die quite yet.” I smiled and waved bye was Keven walked back to his car and drove away. I took a seat on the couch and came up with a plan. Tomorrow the wooing would start.
