'If our visitor is relatively harmless, then why did you see the need to tell me?' the beast asked.
'I didn't want there to be any, uh, misunderstandings,' I replied.
'Fair enough,' he said just before another wave of nausea decided to hit us.
This time the wave stuck around for a bit and I felt our(?) insides quiver in response to it. After it subsided, the beast opened our eyes and tried to get up. He was too weak to sit up though so he tried to get us to roll over instead but the wings got in the way and hindered his efforts.
'What are you trying to do?' I asked him.
'The boy is nearly done and I need to get us flipped over so we don't choke on him as he comes out.' he told me.
'Not choking to death would be good. Is there anything I can do to help?' I asked.
'I am not certain. Unless.....' he said before trailing off.
'Yes?' I prodded him.
'Perhaps if you could get the demon horse to help pull us over onto our stomach, it would be greatly appreciated.' he replied.
'Maybe...' I began giving his idea some thought. 'If it's Silver, then there shouldn't be a problem or much of one to get him to help us. But if it's one of the others, it might take some cajoling on my part to get them to help. Either way, it'll be easier to convince them if I can talk to them directly.' I told him.
'There might be a problem with you talking directly to them.' the beast said.
'How so?' I asked.
'If you are going to speak to them directly, then you will have to take control of the body and I am not certain if you can handle the full effects of what we(?) are feeling right now.' he told me.
'I don't really have much of a choice right now, do I? Unless, of course, you want to choke on the kid?' I asked him rhetorically after I mentally cringed at the thought of what I was about to get myself into.
'You have a good point there,' the beast said before handing the control of the body back over to me.
I immediately regretted my decision as I felt the full force of what the beast had been suppressing. It hit me the moment I took full control of the body. I knew this was going to happen but that didn't keep me from mumbling a few choice words about it. I close my eyes against the horrible combination of pain, nausea, and vertigo and took a moment to collect myself before trying to figure out how to speak with the unfamiliar mouth and fleshy forked tongue without hurting myself. When I was ready, I was somewhat surprised to hear myself speak with my voice instead of the beast's.
"Sil-Silver? Is that you I hear?" I said, calling out to the unknown demon horse. "If it is you, could you come over here, please? I could really use your help."
