"Why didn't you tell me that you went to Suzhou?!" Shanshan was having a fit again for the nth time thanks to her model, who was used to giving her a laundry list of troubles.
"Huh? I did send you a text, didn't I?" Yu Ji reached for her phone in her bag and pretended to check her messenger.
"I forgot...to hit the send button."
"What do you mean by forget? I'm sure you didn't even try to send me a text." Still, her manager picked out two sachets of powdered chocolate and made them both each a hot cup of chocolate with the water she just boiled. She placed the white mug with red flowers prints near to Yu Ji while she herself held a black-coloured one.
"Still no news?"
"No, but some producers want you to audition for dramas. They said you cry beautifully, they must be joking," Shanshan held her warm mug, sipping its content little by little.
"I can't do dramas, I can't cry!" The beautiful model exclaimed, seriousness was clearly present in her frantic eyes when she heard the words of her manager. Her manager gave her a look before focusing on the news on television.
"I know, that's why I only said I'll discuss it with you first. I mean if really you're not getting any job, I'll make sure you do those dramas even if you've to slap yourself so you can cry."
"Are you really my manager?"

The night sky of the city was lit up by the tall skyscrapers, its view had always fascinated the city-loving young woman. She stood out of the shower in her bathrobe, her hair was still wet and she wrapped a towel around her neck. She hummed a few tones of her favourite song as she grabbed her phone that was on the bed and went over to the sofa placed by the full wall window.
She looked out of the window at the city view, all of a sudden the image of her brother's boss came to her mind. She looked down on her phone's screen, scrolling up to see his name on her list of notifications but found none.
Why has he not contacted me?
She looked out of the window again, thinking of her reaction when they first met and when they met again on the plane. For some reason, she found his face increasingly familiar as though she had seen his face somewhere before, but could not remember when. Not being able to recall any memories where she could have met him, she looked around, seeing the hairpiece she bought during her stay at Suzhou. She got up from her seat and walked over, taking it in her hands. She took her steps slowly towards her dressing table, pulled her wet hair up into a bun. It looked too messy like a spider web with her hair still wet, even her fringe was all over the place. However, she went ahead and placed the hair decoration on her hair.
It looks nice, she thought.
Beautiful.
She was startled when she heard of someone's voice. She turned around, definitely not finding anyone because it was her apartment. She lifted her hand and her fingers touched the hairpiece, when there was a familiar feeling emanating from it and hazy memories flashing past her mind. A warm feeling, a warm and a happy one.

"This is one of the jewelries we just received as gifts today. I saw this and thought it really suited you," he held out his hand, on it was a silver hairpiece carved into small little flowers. It was not gold, but silver that she liked. She did not like eye-catching items, but silver ornaments as they were closest to the colour white, the colour of purity.
He lifted his arms and helped her place the hair ornament on top of her hairdo, ensuring that it was set firmly in place. When he was done, he took a step away and looked at her.
"Beautiful," he said, feeling a spring breeze blowing past his heart.
"Thank you, King Xiang," her voice was soft as she replied. He pulled her body gently for an embrace. Her short body compared to his tall one was wrapped just nice around his arms. She could feel his love through his embrace that was firm yet gentle and thus returned the embrace. Her fingers found their way to his back and she rested her face on his chest, feeling comfortable surrounded by his warmth.
"There is no one who can replace you in my heart, Yu Ji." He said those words easily, because it was her. She was special. He had proven it, by not keeping any woman other than her by his side. If there was any weakness this infamously powerful and strong warlord had, it was her, she was his weakness.
"Me too, King Xiang." Her heart was indefinitely warmed when she heard his words.
He pulled his body away slightly and planted a kiss on her forehead. Her lips curled into a wide smile and he saw her smile that he always adored.
Just like that, their time spent together was always filled with smiles and laughter. It was perhaps their happiest moments of their life. No, it was the happiest moments of all the lives their souls had lived.
It was a love that earned envious stares from many. No one could explain the love they had, there was no love story that could compare to theirs. No love story happier could compare to theirs, but also no love story more tragic could compare to theirs.
He loved her so much, more than his empire, that she became his weakness and became the reason for his downfall.
