Neo Tokyo was born after World War Four. It was unsure why it was decided to call good ol' Tokyo like that. Nobody could understand the change that was quite sudden.
World War Four was something we don't want to talk about; neither do we want to mention World War Three. Seriously, the past is the past and should be forgotten.
Some people don't forget, though. World War Four took six years to actually end. Well, it actually didn't end; it was more a truce.
Why do wars actually have to end with a truce? People will never understand this concept. Sachiko didn't care much about history, despite having good grades at school and being the perfect daughter for everyone. If she'd still have parents, that is.
Her parents were killed by the Yakuza, whom they borrowed money from. Her father knew it was a deal that could get him killed, but all he wanted was to make his family happy. Soichirou Nagata was the man's name. He owned a little shop where he sold several things. However, one day the business didn't work well and people moved on to other shops that were part of the "Next Generation".
The "Next Generation", also known as "Cyber Revolution" was actually an event that had been going on for decades. Every day, people wanted to try out something new to make life easier. Some were not satisfied with the changes, some said the changes were what they've been waiting for.
The little shop was pretty much like the shops about two or three hundred years ago. The only difference is that bills and changes are no longer valid and if you actually found one of these, then it's considered a "treasure" and you may get some money for that.
The concept of "electronic money" is quite literal by now, since you only rely on debit cards. Some people call it unsafe and want the bills and changes back, some consider it as the best thing ever.
Soichirou was quite happy with his shop and wanted it to be a family business. But small shops were no longer really popular and people would rather order their groceries online. That was why his business was about to fail, and considering that he asked the Yakuza to help him with his business, he knew that he would run into his own death.
In fact, he was in huge depths, and he had to pay them back as soon as possible. But how when the income was low and not even enough to take care of his wife and his daughter?
Thirty million yen was a lot of money and Soichirou didn't even get a tenth of it. One bare million yen was not enough for the Yakuza to be satisfied with.
One day, when Sachiko was at school, the Yakuza of the Ginza District decided to pay a visit at her parents' house. They wanted to check on the family but as soon as Soichirou confronted them, begging them for giving him more time, the situation escalated.
The Yakuza didn't like to wait, and a deadline shouldn't get delayed either. They gave him three years to gather the sum that Soichirou was owing to them, and he didn't fulfill their request.
Sachiko was an elementary school student. She was ten years old and a very well-behaved girl. She was very intelligent and kind, she smiled a lot and had a lot of friends.
The day she heard that her parents died was a dark one. The Yakuza knew about the elementary school she went, and instead of killing her, they decided to take her in. The Yakuza lied to her. They told her that her parents died on a car accident.
They could have just killed her, but they decided to keep her alive. The Ginza Yakuza wouldn't kill children, right? They'd probably send her to prostitution or sell her to some gigolo.
But instead, they decided to take care of her, train her to become a good fighter. She was home schooled by one of the best teachers out of Japan and was not allowed to leave the Yakuza headquarter, not even for errands. They kept her locked but to be honest, she couldn't care less.
Ever since her parents died and the Yakuza took her in, she was lacking emotions. She had not known that the guys who took her in were actually the murderers of her parents.
Until that day.
