Hey there, I’m this story’s writer, Elcie.

First of all, I would like to thank you for reading my first work, Gilbert and the Magister. For this first entry, I would like to introduce to you the main characters of this story as well as a bit of a backstory for them. Enjoy!

Gilbert is a typical, day-in-day-out worker working for a railway company when his entire life changed after him and his office mate and also his childhood friend, Angeline saved a nameless, homeless and mute person from being beaten to death by thugs. As it turns out, the nameless girl is a Magister; a selected few of people bestowed with powerful magic that can even change the entire fabric of reality.

After an unfortunate incident that occurred to Gilbert, Angeline and the nameless girl, they were saved and taken in under the protection of a group called ‘Oracle Twelve’, a group which consists of both normal humans and Magisters fighting against rogue Magisters that wanted to disrupt the balance of the world.

Juggling between his daily job, saving the world from the threat of rogue Magisters, and to uncover the mystery of the enigmatic, nameless girl, Gilbert’s life will never be the same again.

- Has a ‘bitch-resting face’ look, but he’s actually soft at heart and a generally nice guy

- Often bicker with his friend Angeline, mostly due to her tomboyish attitude and looks, and her short stature

- Had a bit of affection for Catherine, as she reminded him of his younger sister.

- Generally he didn’t want anything to interrupt his life, but instead the opposite happens which to some extent annoys him.

- Very thrifty, as Angeline called him ‘cheap’.

2. Catherine/The Nameless Girl

- Age: around 20

- Birthday: Unknown (Gilbert decided that the first day they met, March 9th became her birthday)

- Height: 169 cm

- Blood type: A

- Light brown hair, light brown eyes

- Magister

- Codename: Nine

- Power: Creating weapons like swords, shields, and even heavy artillery out of thin air

- Rather shy because of her inability to speak, but can be very vocal when around people that she knew (as in writing on a notebook)

3. Angeline

- Age: 25 years old

- Birthday: August 10th

- Height: 158 cm

- Blood type: B

- Black hair, amber colored eyes (contacts)

- Human

- Gilbert’s childhood friend, as well as his supervisor at their workplace.

- Although close, she never had any feelings for Gilbert just because she doesn’t feel like it.

- Due to her looks and lacking on the feminine section, Gilbert often said that she’s a tomboy, which she often denies.

- Along with Gilbert, she’s among the first people to recognize the existence of Oracle Twelve.

4. Erica

- Age: 28 years old

- Birthday: June 17th

- Height: 185 cm

- Blood type: O

- Dark grey hair, slate grey eyes

- Magister

- Power: Generating and manipulating electricity, able to an extent of creating a power surge, can also turn her entire body into electricity

- Codename: One

- One of the co-founders of the Oracle Twelve

- Preferred weapon of choice: steel knuckles

- A good friend of Cindy, they go way back since their days in Kyrie's Military College.

- Often goes alone in missions; which always resulted in close calls numerous times. Nonetheless, her survival rate when going as a team or solo is fairly high.

5. Cindy

- Age: 30 years old

- Birthday: September 15th

- Height: 180 cm

- Blood type: AB

- Light blonde hair, emerald green eyes

- Magister

- Power: Hypnosis, advanced mind control, can make an unwilling target under her control with only a touch on the target’s skin

- Codename: Five

- One of the co-founders of the Oracle Twelve

- Serves as Oracle Twelve's chief of operations, overseeing missions from their headquarters as well as providing insight to her fellow Oracles on the field.

- Also acting as one of Oracle Twelve's main interrogation team, due to her Magister powers. Often uses unconventional tricks to attain information from criminals.
