Timothy's POV
After Timothy heard the raindrops, he immediately woke up and jumping. It immediately caused him a pain in area around his ribs. He whined a bit before looking around, realizing he was in a rather cheap looking cottage. It had one bed, where he slept. Below a cover, pieces of hay could be seen sticking out of it. There was one table with a chair next to it and a pot on top of the table. The chair and the table were made of the wood that was really common. He gazed at the shelves and saw a rather normal pots, like for cooking. Some of them were broken and some were looking rather new. There was a small cabin and on top of it there was the bandages and a glass of the water. He laid back down, groaning in the pain while looking up at the ceiling. He closed his eyes and sighed, unable to move his left leg.
After some time passed, a older man came inside of the cottage. He had a small beard, which was white and gray hair, tied in a small, low ponytail. His eyes were light blue and he wore white shirt, along with a pair of black pants. On the sides, they were ripped, mostly likely from a branch. He had a belt around his waist and he had a bow and a arrow in the holder. The bow was wooden, along with the arrows. The man tossed the bow and the areas in back of the cottage. Timothy flinched before sitting up and whining in the pain. "Lay back down." The man said, after moving toward the table.
He had a basket in his hands and in the basket, there was a dead rabbit. The man sat onto the chair, grabbing a knife and the rabbit in his hands. He started to peel the fur off the rabbit while Timothy sat up and looked at the man. The man stopped peeling the fur and gazed at Timothy with his blue eyes. "What is it?" He asked the boy while Timothy flinched on his voice. "Wh-who are you...? Wh-where am I...?" Timothy asked with a muttered voice before looking down at his body. He saw that he was fully covered in the bandages. He only wore his boxers on while he tried to move his left leg before the man got up and sighed. "I found you almost dead. You fell down with that carriage which was really cheap but thanks to you I got the materials." The man walked toward a nearby counter and grabbed a cotton and a alcohol before coming closer to the boy.
After grabbing a hold of all necessary stuffs, he walked over to Timothy and sat onto the bed. "Come closer and let me treat your wounds." The man said after looking at the boy and had that grumpy look on his face. Timothy nodded with his head while gazing at the man. "I-I don't even know your name.." He mumbled the words out under his breath as he slowly moved his body closer to the man. The man had a good hearing and heard Timothy's words.
He sat the boy's leg in his lap and putting the alcohol on the cotton. He looked at the boy's leg and unwrapped the old bandage, tossing it away. "My name is Jack." The man said before pressing the cotton against the boy's wound. Timothy whined loudly, more like yelped in the pain while his leg trembled a bit. "Wh-why you saved me...?" Timothy asked the man while he had his kinda serious look on face. "I didn't want you to die," Jack said. "I already lost my wife and my child like that," Jack added on his words while he had a small pained look in his eyes.
Timothy couldn't pretend anymore, that he was serious as he had a sad look on his face. "My condolences..." Timothy mumbled the words out as the man wrapped the bandage around his wounds. The man nodded only, without saying any words.
After all his wounds were treated, the man got up and put everything inside the cabin. He walked toward the counter and grabbed a bowl of wild blueberries and handled them to Timothy. "Eat. You didn't ate in while as I can see by your skinny look." Jack said as he walked back to his table and continued to peel the skin off the rabbit. Timothy nodded and took the bowl, picking some of the berries in his hands before eating them. "Oh... T-they're delicious..." Timothy said as he smiled and started eating a lot of the berries.
Louis' POV
Louis entered the dinning room where his whole family awaited him. The man had his smirk on his lips, which was pretty sly. With the maid entering after Louis, she came toward the man and whispered some words that Louis didn't heard quite well. The man coughed and slammed a hand on a table. Everyone's attention turned toward the man as the gazes of their eyes were more like a glares. "What is it, father?" A little girl asked while she was poking her meat with a fork. She had a short, creamy brown hair which was tied into a two low pigtails. She was younger than Louis and she had a bloody red eyes and had an emotionless face while she was looking at the man. "Sweetie, behave." A older looking lady said. She was really pretty and had long, blond hair and green eyes. Her tan was a little darker than the rest of family. "But I don't want to." The little girl said while stabbing the meat. The woman just sighed and looked away.
Soon after, the man pointed his eyes at Louis. "Louis, I didn't wanted it to be like this but," The man paused, looking at Louis' expression which dramatically changed. His eyes were widen and he gulped a big chunk of a food he still didn't eaten properly. "Wh-what is it...?" Asking that, Louis sat his fork down and looked at the mad with a worried expression. "D-don't tell me... Something happen with Timothy..." Louis, asking that, got really worried and felt suddenly sick in the stomach. "I'm sorry but, oh how should I say this, he's dead." The man said while Louis' eyes widen as they could possibly. His face got pale, like a snow. He felt really sick and got down from the chair he was sitting on. He couldn't believe that the only person, even if he knew Timothy for short period of time, got attached to, died in a really worst way. "H-ho--" Before he could even finish the word, his vision got really black and he was left, unconsciously laying on the floor.
Only person who rushed to help was the woman who had a tears in her eyes. She couched down and grabbed a glass of water, splashing it on Louis' face. She started slapping him across the cheeks, trying to get his consciousness back. The rest of family, included the maid didn't helped at all. They were eating their food, peacefully and not caring about the sudden event.
After few minutes, Louis woke up and rubbed his eyes as he felt the drop of tears on his cheeks. He saw his mother, crying and shaking, since she was worried for Louis. He looked at her, without an emotion and with a pale face. She carefully lifted Louis off the ground and carried him toward the living room. She laid Louis down and kissed him on his forehead. "Did that boy mean a lot to you...?" She asked Louis who nodded in agreement. He closed his eyes and took a quick flashback, when he meet the boy.
While he was having the flashback, the woman looked at him, worriedly while she was stroking his hair and singing him a lullaby he loved. Her voice was gifted from god himself. It was a voice like angel would have. With that, Louis fell asleep, hoping he would wake up but next to Louis, in other world.
The Maid's POV
She was ready to announce the death of the boy. She was pretty sure that he was dead. While entering the room, she was preparing for her speech but the hand of the man stopped her. She was called over. The man grabbed a collar of her shirt and pulled her down pretty harshly. "I will tell him. If you are about to tell it, he will jump on you and not believe you. Now, speak. Is he dead for sure?" The man asked once again while the maid nodded. She was caught off the guard by it. She gulped a bit since she was a bit scared of the man herself.
While the man announced the sad news for Louis, she backed away into her usual corner and watched it all with the amusement on her face. She was watching Louis' reactions and scanned them pretty well. While the event happen, she tried not to laugh at the boy who just fainted and fell onto the floor. She didn't even bother to help instead she walked toward the man and helped him with his meal. She took the plates and walked away without any word.
As soon as she was alone, in the kitchen, she started laughing pretty crazily. "Oh dear me~ How evil I am to do such a thing to a little, poor guy who was brought here by an accident~" She was repeating those words a few time over and over while hysterically laughing. It was going over, for a whole half hour of her insanity. Nobody saw or heard her, she made sure of that and if someone heard her, they would be in a big trouble.
