Music was wafting throughout the room, straight out the window. Several floors below, people could hear the graceful melody and couldn’t stop their heads from looking up. The soft sound of the piano made its way with the winds and to the ears of any willing to listen. As one song blended with another, the emotions put into the songs only grew stronger and more refined. The melodies had no definite purpose nor receiver, they were played just to be played; just for people to listen. The key pressed lightly and in succession created a crescendo of crystals twinkling together. A child’s soft smile accompanied each chord. Fingers gliding gently across the keys with such precision spoke of years of hard work and dedication to bring joy to all who heard. Slowly, and softly; a voice joined the mix. Shy as a newborn fawn, an elegant voice interlaced with the piece evoked new emotions. The combination could only be described as a flowery spring with young animals leaping about and their watchful mothers looking on endearingly. Before long, the voice let out a broken cry and stopped. A clang of keys could be heard and the people were broken of their stupor. Time went on and the people did too. Though the piano could be heard at various times of the day, the one sophisticated play and pleasing voice accompanying it never made an appearance again.
