The end of the month of October arrived really fast, the mid-term exams went smoothly for both Sasuke, who ended at the 2nd rank of the whole 2nd year promotion, and Naruto, who improved his grades once more! Iruka-sensei congratulated them and encouraged them to study even harder together.

"What do you think?" He inquired.

Naruto sat down, his head lowered. Sasuke sat in front of him and handed him one of the noodle boxes.

They ate in silence, the slurps of the soggy noodles interrupting the quietness from time to time.

Sasuke ruffled Naruto's hair in a reassuring way and rested his arm around his shoulders.

They walked like this to Uzumaki's house, almost like a couple, and Naruto did not object to it.

Sasuke helped Naruto climb up the stairs to his apartment, which was a small 1 room studio with a single bed tucked in a corner. Sasuke felt sad seeing how modestly Naruto was living but tried not to show it.

He planted a kiss on Naruto's forehead before leaving.
