cold blood

I decided to walk home as it was now early afternoon, The sun was fully in the sky with the time I spent in Harry's house, the orange mark in the sky was gone and there was more light. When I entered the house I saw there was one of the bags just sitting in the middle of the table. I was compelled to drink it, to understand more about the dreams. When I sat down I tore the top off and began to drink, there was something unusual about the taste, it was sour and made my teeth feel weird. My hands became numb, my vision blurred, and I fell into a deep slumber. I awoke, like always, in the alley. Like before, there was a new level of detail. The tall person approaching the alley at the end was a woman and not the gentleman I saw the previous two times. She was tall, wore a dress, had emerald green eyes, and small drops of blood on her face. The other gentleman waiting at the end of the alley was shorter than before but other then that nothing had changed.

"Did you sign it?" The woman approaching him asked.

"No, I haven't. That's a good start." He seemed nervous, rubbing his hand across his forehead wiping away sweat every now and then. "Did you bring it?" The woman asked.

"No, I forgot." Like before they he seemed to repeat that when asked, but the expression on his face became more panicked like he knew what was going to happen. The missing person was standing behind him they placed their hands on his shoulder and pushed him to the ground then I woke up. When I woke I was in my attic strangling a man pushed against the wall watching him panic but I had no control of my body. I looked at the stairs and saw Percival standing there looking at me. "Billy, is that you?" but I ignored him, finally killing the man I was strangling. "Ever killed anyone, Percy?" His accent was more high pitched, "Not personally, I have people."

"You're missing out, it's like sex but there's a winner." There was an overly excited laugh then Percival spoke, "Don't call me Percy." For some unknown reason he didn't like being called Percy, but whenever anyone asks him he refuses to say anything.

"You tell anyone what you saw and the next sound you hear will be the sound of your own neck snapping. Do you understand me?Percy!" I yelled it almost mocking him.

"I'm here to see Rory, I need to talk to him about Harry."

"I'll go find him, wait here and try not to die. You never know, anything could happen."

I walked down every step shoving Percy out of the way yelling up, "Your name's Percy whether you like it or not." Then for some unknown reason, I laughed from the attic all the way to the kitchen where I woke up. "Percival? Are you still there?" He soon ran downstairs and into the kitchen saying, "where's Billy? He was here a minute ago."

"What are you talking about, who's Billy?" Yes, I do know who he is, I wanted to remove any and all connection between the two of us. I could tell he felt uncomfortable when he said, "So... sorry about Harry." For a moment I thought he was about to start crying, his eyes flooding with tears but he didn't know Harry that well. After years of ignoring the death of both his parents, I don't think there is any feeling in him. He continued, "I know I didn't see Harry earlier, and yes, I got the letter, I just didn't want to go."

"Why?"

"They would have made me give a speech, no words I could have said would have been enough. No words could have done him any justice." He had died about two hours ago, I'm sure at this point more people had arrived. "Will you at least go to the funeral even for just half an hour?"

"Will you force me to make a speech?"

"No."

"Promise?"

"Promise." I opened the window to cool down a bit. The sun had finally risen and the short, but sweet, the sound of birds filled the air before complete and utter silence.
