Recap:

"It's so dark....I better be careful...."

She squinted her eyes and frowned. She has to be quick or they will capture

her again. She hasty made shelter in an old wine cellar. Going as far as she

could on foot.

"I hope beyond hope, that they can't find me."

Closing her eyes, she lets herself rest for the trouble of tomorrow.

Morning light seeps through the cracks. The sound of yelling wakes up 

Claire. She holds her breath and makes herself as small as she could. 

Her hand over her mouth ans beads of sweat forming at her temple.

She crawled as far a way from the door as she could.

"-------find her!---Kill----Don't-----"

She heard snippets of what was said. When she was sure they were far 

enough, she let out a breath she held.

She stayed there all day without moving and without eating. Her stomach 

grumbled. Later, in the evening, where all were heading home. Claire put 

on a robe and hid her face. She cautiously walked towards the gates near 

the docks. The gates ran a long to coast. There's a toll booth in the way. 

She tries not to panic, because she has no currency.

Hey! Caz here. I'm going to explain currency to Max!

The currency we use are a special rock that glows. They have different color depending on worth. Pink is in ones. Purple is in hundreds. Green is fives. Yellows are twenties. Red is in the fifties. We're still trying to debate it.

You humans are weird. Us, mythical creatures use gold. It's much more efficient than rocks. You should learn from us creatures.

Like paper is any better!

Claire decides to go to the shopping district to find someone looking for a 

worker, more specifically a ship captain....

She walks past an interesting person. He had an air about him. Half of his 

hair shaved off and a plain outfit. Brown hair and teal eyes, and a scar on 

his lip. Tan skin, but not as tan as Claire's. (Light tan)

He is humming a tune and sees a pretty girl having trouble with two barrels.

"Hello there~ Need me to carry one?"

He smiled sweetly. The girl blushed.

"Sure!"

"Rouge, what are you doing?! Hey, you! Trouble maker, get a way from 

my wife!"

"....I just wanted to help with the barrels. If she stayed out here any 

longer, those guys in the ally way, watching, would have made a move."

"What?"

The man looked towards the direction the guy jabbed his thumb at, 

low and behold. Five burly men just retreated a way.

"Oh..."

"Yeah, I heard them talking on the way to this area."

The man sparkles as he continues to speak.

"They've been staring at her for a while now, better inform the authorities. 

Recently, there is a rise in kidnappings and people being sold in the black 

market."

"Thank you....but why concern yourself?"

"My cousin was kidnapped, raped and murdered in the black market."

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!?"

"It's fine. I'm a pirate, pirates deal with this stuff every day. My cousin did 

that all the time too, the parents wanted revenge and I was paid 

handsomely to sell them out."

"Y-You monster!"

The man took a step back and hid his wife behind him.

"What? I hate my cousin, they had no morals."

"And you do? You sold out your family!"

"Family? My cousin beat me and sexually abused me, or at least tried to. 

I was always smarter than them. My cousin was a creepy, old woman 

that would have a kid for money. They always hated her.  You think it's only

 pirates? Nope. All humans are evil."

The pirate moved both barrels and then turned back to the man with 

a sad look.

"It's rare to find a good person."

The pirate walked a way.

"Farewell to the both of you!"

The man and his wife waved.
