No funeral was held for Tavell Ruskin's mother. The only person who saw her regularly enough to recognize her, apart from Tavell himself, was the assistant at the little corner shop down the road. Although the assistant was sad when he heard the news, he figured that Tavell's mother's death was a part of the natural process of life. It wasn't exactly unexpected, as the woman was quite old.

Tavell himself didn't particularly want to hand over the cash to pay for her funeral. He still hadn't shed a tear yet.
