“We have an emergency here!” Erica announced as the van that carried her, Gilbert, Angeline and Catherine arrived at a building, located in an unnamed, undisclosed address in Kyrie.
“Her pulse rate is getting lower, and so does her Power reserves. We need to get her to the emergency room now!” she added, as the three of them carried out the stretcher with Catherine on it from the back of the van.
She was treated while they were heading to the location, however, her conditions started to gradually worsen when they were close to arriving.
As they completely took out the stretcher from the van, a group of four in-house medical personnel resumed to handle Catherine onwards as they pushed her into the emergency room.
“Is she going to be alright?” Angeline asked.
“Don’t worry; she’s in safe hands now. Though, her conditions nearly went critical just now, so we’ll try our best.” Erica replied.
Just then, the second van carrying Vincent along with Ten, Eleven and Six arrived at the building. There, Vincent was further bound onto several more handcuffs and locks on his legs, and was escorted by a handful of security personnel along with Eleven.

Angeline and Gilbert were led into a meeting room, while Ten and Six followed along with Erica.
“Please, have a seat. We’ll serve you some tea in just a moment.” Erica said to both Gilbert and Angeline.
“How is she doing, One?” Six asked her superior, as she took a seat.
“She’s hanging on, but I believe that she’s going to make it.” Erica answered.
“Good to hear that.” Six let out a sigh of relief.
“But man, the damage cost’s going to be really expensive. Don’t you think so, One?” Ten joked as he pulled up a chair for himself.
“Have you ever felt a lightning strike down to your spine, Steve?” Erica glared at Ten, also known as Steve.
“Come on, that was a joke!” Steve raised his hands while shrugging away at Erica’s threat.
“Uhh…may I ask you something?” Angeline raised her hand.
“Certainly, yes.” Erica replied.
“Where are we? And who are you guys?” Gilbert pitched in the questions. As he asked the questions, Erica placed two cups of tea in front of him and Angeline.
Erica cleared up her throat, and looked at both of them.
“Firstly, you are inside our headquarters. Secondly, we are an independent organization known as Oracle Twelve. Our primary objectives are to monitor and control the selected group of people with ‘special’ gifts. I’m sure that you’ve seen it first-hand a few hours ago. We call these types of gifted people as ‘Magisters’.”
“My name is Erica, and I’m the chief operations officer here. These two over here are our members; namely Steve and Ekaterina. Please, introduce yourselves.” Erica briefly introduced herself along with the organization.
“Nice to meet you, although that’s not really a nice thing to say after what just happened to both of you. I’m Ekaterina, also known here as Six. I mainly operated as the in-field tactical supervisor, as well as providing support roles in operations.” Ekaterina said to them.
“Yo, I’m the man with the afro, Steve. You can just call me Ten, if that’s your fancy. I’m acting as the general operations officer, along with my buddy Eleven. Nice to meet you guys.” Steve introduced himself as he styled his pompous, out-of-place hair with his hands.
Erica sighed, and continued.
------
“As I was saying earlier, Oracle Twelve monitors and controls the Magisters dispersed all around the region of Fayth. These people needed to be constantly kept in check, due to the risks they pose with their Power and its destructive capabilities as you’ve seen during the attack at your house.”
“Can’t the normal law enforcement agencies handle the Magisters? I mean, we do have state-of-the-art weaponry nowadays.” Gilbert asked.
“Unfortunately, no. Normal law enforcement agencies don’t even stand a chance against Magisters. Some Magisters have overwhelming levels of power, more than enough to decimate more than half of Kyrie.” Ekaterina replied.
“What the?” Gilbert said in disbelief.
“And adding to the fact that a Magister is mostly seen as an outcast of the society due to their Powers, which can cause them to go hostile. Although the majority of Magisters are recorded and registered with the Department of Internal Security, there are some of them that purposefully chose not to do so, or don’t even know they had to register themselves with us. We call this group, Rogue Magisters.” Steve added.
“Unfortunately, your friend Catherine is in this group of people.” Erica said afterwards.
“But, Catherine’s a good person! She didn’t cause anyone any problems, let alone hurting them! In fact, she saved us during the attack!” Angeline replied as she stood up from her seat.
“We still do not know why Catherine is in the group, but I’m sure that she’s not a bad person. We will ask her when her condition stabilizes.” said Erica.
“You guys sure knew a lot about Magisters, considering that your organization is fairly new.” Gilbert replied.
“That’s because we ourselves are Magisters.” Ekaterina easily answered his question.
“Fair enough.”
“Only Magisters can stand a chance against other Magisters in a fight. That’s the general rule.” Steve added.
“But in order to avoid unnecessary casualties and damages, we often work outside the strict guidelines of the Department, as it was too restricting in nature and the Rogue Magisters are unlike normal criminals who you can easily catch, let alone kill.”
“We do operate independently, but after we were done with our investigation and interrogation, we will hand them over to the normal law enforcement agencies.” Erica ended the information packed introduction of Oracle Twelve, along with the existence of Magisters.
------
“Any other questions?” Ekaterina asked them, and they both shook their heads.
“Well then, please show them their rooms. You two will stay here for the time being, to assist in our investigation on this case. Don’t worry, we will take good care of you guys, and we’ll make sure you’re well fed and dressed.” Erica assured the two.
