The bell rings before he can answer. That’s when the boy wakes up in his room once again, the loud and noise intercom announces that it is lunchtime the boy walks to the door and pushes the handless door with no doorknob because he kick off last week after he snapped again. He saw that on the menu was beef stew, doughnuts, apples, and as drinks chocolate or white milk, he immediately got up and grabbed two scoops of beef stew as it was his favorite at this unpleasant soup kitchen he also grabbed an apple and two cartons knowing he could get more and he didn’t grab a doughnut knowing it might taste like they always do. He went outside as he always did and just sat alone and in peace, he didn’t really care to be alone in fact he felt it was a sin to sit with others for what he did, drinking his first carton of milk he felt normal and then when he got to his second carton tears streamed down his eyes he didn’t realize it till he felt a few of them dropping on his left hand. He didn’t know how or why he was this was the first time it happened. A man in a white lab coat comes over “is this seat reserved” he asks, the boy responds in calm manner while wiping his eyes “not at all.” The man in the lab coat sit down “my name is Professor Ivan” introducing himself while holding out his hand, “I’m Chase” gripping the man’s hand with his very own. “But I’m pretty sure you already know me, right?” the boy asks “Quite perceptive, I am I’m the one who writes down all the information that comes from your mouth” the man replies “okay I thought you were the one who screams and shouts at me when he asks me questions” the boy says in relief “that guy's name is Clayton, he’s just like that, always using his voice and never his words. I could tell him to tone down the screaming but the questions will still remain,” he says “thanks I’d appreciate that even though it’s a bit painful to remember and often causes me to snap.” The boy says with his hand on his head “are you okay” Ivan asks “yeah” the boy responds in a voice that is in pain. The man hands the boy a pill and a bottled water “don’t worry it won’t knock you out it's just pain relievers, it should help with that headache” he says in concern “thank you” the boy takes the pill and swallows it and then takes a big gulp without hesitation “I think I’m gonna go take a nap in my room, just come get me when it's time for another questioning session” the boy says still holding his head. “Okay” Ivan says, but watches Chase carefully but it wasn’t even ten steps before he fainted and came crashing to the ground harder than an atom bomb Ivan rushes to Chase’s side and uses a walkie talkie to get the paramedics to get to his location to come assert medical help to the boy. While he was passed out he was reliving in his past once again, he was in his first class period in seventh grade everyone was introducing themselves, and he was still seated in the middle of class with no one around him. “Next person to introduce themselves please” the teacher, Ms. Pastine, said as a student went to go sit down. Then a girl that seemed familiar to the boy came up to introduce herself he quickly put his head down so she wouldn’t sit next to him, “hello my name is Nikeya Deccan but you guys can call me Nicki” she pronounces proudly, everybody stands up and cheers except Chase which keeps his head down pretending to be sleeping she quickly noticed and had a frown on her face then it turned to anger that she kept hidden she walked over to his desk and sat next to him at first he was startled but just remained still.
A boy has to remember and relive the events that he doesn't ever want to go back to. His life was once filled with happiness, friendship, and love, but is now only filled with regret.
