“So bright...Where the fuck am I!”, Lain quickly gets up. He looks around to find himself in a small room. How did he get here? Well that was going to be answered until, “Master!”

Lain jumps in surprise. He turns to look and finds a person standing by the entrance with eyes wide open.

“Uhhh...Who are you?”, Lain looks closely at the person, “Do I know you?”

“Mrs.Kira!”, the person runs out slamming the door shut.

*SLAM!*

“Whoa. What just happened? Hm...She’s cute.”, Lain gets off of the bed he was resting in. By the corner of his right eye he sees a window. He walks over to it. Through it, he can see a whole grassy field with trees as big as an apartment building, and bright sun looking down upon everyone.

“Yo, what is this place?”, Lain asks himself entranced by this beautiful sight, then voice comes out of nowhere.

“Hehe! It’s beautiful right?”

Shocked, Lain looks around the room trying to find out who was the one who said that.

“Where are you!?”, Stress builds and as it builds it becomes anger or fear. What Lain was feeling was fear, “Damn, it feels like the same feeling back at the cave!”, Lain starts hyperventilating. He grabs his shirt where his heart is and squeezes tightly, trying to calm down.

“Master!? Your vital signs are not good. Shit!”, The voice sounded nervous.

“You’re that voice from that cave aren’t ya!?”, Lain was scared. This fear was coming from the pain he felt in the cave when recovering his memories, “You hurt me!”

“Master, I need you to calm down. Look, I know what happened severely scarred you, but now’s not the time! Please, for me. Calm down.”, the voice was so determined that it persuaded Lain.

“O-O-Okay!”, Lain breaths in from his nose and then breaths out from his mouth. He repeats this action about three times.

“Good. Your vital signs are returning to normal.”, the relieved voice said.

“Who are you?”

“Oh, You don’t know yet. I’ve recently acquired a physical form. Right now I’m with Mrs.Kira, the head of the household, to report your recovery.”

“Wait, so is this like telepathy?”, Lain remembered something from his past life, “I think it was called the x-men?”

“By your memories you can say it is. Anyways, I’m excited to be with you! Later we’re going to bathe so get ready!”

“Jesus dad! You left me behind!”, Leroy stomps the ground.

“Your weak ass just couldn’t catch up with me.”, Felon puffs out his chest confidently, arrogantly, and showing off too his son what an adventurer should be like.

“Tsk! Your old as is doodoo. Don’t think you can show off to me dad.”, Leroy strikes back. Felon keeps a straight face on, but in the inside he knows he has taken a full blown burn!

“So, Have you not lost your virginity?”

“Dad!”

“What!? I worry about my son too! Every time I set you up with different; You just reject them!”, Felon feels chills spiraling down his spine. He looks back at his son to see a dark aura oozing out from him, giving him his wife’s so called Death’s End gaze, and boom! Felon starts sprinting like there was no tomorrow!

“Get the fuck back here old man! You weak fool! I”ll tell mother on what have been doing!”, Leroy starts sprinting too and almost catches up with his father.

“Wait! Son, I’m sorry! I needed you to be a man quick”, Felon begs for forgiveness trying to explain his past actions.

“Fuck you! They were ugly as witches scrotum! I swear to god dad! When I get back; I’ll tell the guild on the shameful things you’ve been doing!”

Two hours has passed by. Asking the people of the house, he’s currently resting in, Lain learned his whereabouts. He is in one of the villages owned by Syria:

“Hehe! Tell me if the water is too hot. Alright?”

“Yeah I get it, but isn’t this embarrassing?”, Lain wasn’t feeling embarrassment himself, but he was curious.

“Nope. That emotion is useless, so they didn’t thought of implanting that inside of me. I can act, but I can’t feel it.”

“Hm...Interesting.”, Lain murmurs to himself.

“What was that master?”

“Nothing. Anyways, do you have a name?”

“Nope. It wasn’t necessary so they didn’t give me one.”

Lain noticed she talked about this “they” often when he ask questions about her.

“Well I’ll give you name. How’s that?”, Lain actually came up with the right name inspired from her physical features, so he was a little excited to tell her.

“Master, That would be an honor!”

“Please don’t call me “Master”. I have a name for a reason. Call me Lain.”, Lain gave off a serious vibe. He doesn’t know why himself, but being called “Master” is uncomfortable for him.

“Okay, Lain.”, The girl smiles. She grabs a bucket of warm water and splashes it all over him.

“I’ll you call you Sarah.”, That was the only and fitting name for her he thought of.

“Ah...That’s a nice name.”, Sarah smiles grabbing another bucket and splashes it all over her.

“So, I need answers.”, Lain didn’t want to ruin this moment, but he’s too impatient for that.

“Well I saw that coming. Lain I don’t know much, but I’ll answer as best as I can.”, Sarah gets up and sits in front of Lain, “Tell me. What do you want to know?”, Sarah seems like she is enjoying this moment. In her mind this is precious moment to build up bond.

“Why am I here?”, Lain stares into her eyes. He stiffens up his face to show he’s serious.

“Lain you don’t have to do that. You’re here as the watcher or god of this old universe. I’m your assistant. I’m meant to help you anyway possible when you need information, and for other purposes.”, Proud of herself, Sarah, she laughs. It disturbed Lain a little on why she’s this cheerful, but that doesn’t matter now.

“So, what are you?”

“Well I’m a celestial being like you. I was configured to do certain things, so I don’t have powers that involve creation. When you were in pain at the cave I looked through some files to help, and the only way was to turn into a physical being. As you see I’m an elf, mid-twenties, and female. I chose this race because of it’s advantages against other races.”

Lain smirks. He likes her. She gets straight to the point and only says what is necessary.

“You earned my respect. So, I’m god? Huh...That’s cool.”, Lain wasn’t impressed. God doesn’t mean anything to him, but it still. A power like this shakes Lain in excitement.

“Hehe! Well later on I want to take you out to explore this world. I’m curious about the mating rituals of these other low beings!”, Sarah jumps in excitement.

“Well you do you I guess. Wait, I got one more-

*BOOM*

“Whoa! What fuck was that!?

The ground starts shaking. Sarah latches onto Lain trying not to let him go.

“Lain!”

“Get down!”

*KABOOM!*

Lain notices the house was about to collapse!

“Sarah! Get up and start running!”
