1. Not Sponsored by Sprite, just wanted to make that clear. Lol. (Though I wouldn't mind the revenue)
2. In TLoNC there are the religions we have, but a large amount of the population believe in these Greek Myth-esque gods. (Thus the name Solis mentioned later) It's actually a part of another project I'm working on!

Naomi's POV
I stand up quickly, my hip hitting the table roughly as the Sprite slowly drips off of me, my jeans absorbing the majority of it. I take a deep breath in and exhale, blocking out all the chaos around me. My mother yelling at Mary. Her parents yelling at my mother. My sister crying because of the yelling, and my brother talking to Will, giving him a large tip in apology for the huge mess created. I crack my knuckles and clear my throat to get everyone's attention, putting a large fake smile on my face, trying to look sincere. Once all the voices stopped, I could tell I had finally gotten their attention. Show time.
"Mary, I am so sorry, I totally forgot about that little glitch you have. It's all my fault that you got jealous over someone who is crippled, and decided to pour your drink all over them. I also apologize to your parents, who can never, and never used to, discipline their little innocent angel." I say, purposefully sounding too sweet and happy to piss her off more, without having to insult her directly. Before I could get a response from everyone, I double tap my brother's hand, which was around my shoulder, a signal to tell him that I was ready to go, without having to say anything. He makes the signal to my mother and sister, and we all get up and leave, without a word verbally shared. No one stops us.

Yuki's POV
I turn around to stare at him in shock, interrupting his fluid brushing motions. He had kept brushing my hair, even though it was now soft and thoroughly brushed, probably because of how soothing the motion was.
"And they just left? The blonde girl and her family just left?" I ask, raising my voice in surprise, my eyebrows practically hitting the roof as I raise them in shock.
"Blonde? Sweetheart, I'm sorry. Did you think I said blonde? I didn't think my country accent was THAT bad. But no, I said blind. She's blind. And yeah, they just uppity and left after making some weird gang symbol." He responds casually, making me even more shocked. This blind girl was more brave than I could ever be.
"Wow... I wish I could meet her, she sounds... amazing." I say quietly, pausing to think about what I might actually say to her if we did ever meet.
"She looked like around our age. Oh! I also took a creep shot of her, here. I do wish I had gotten their names though, I was bit distracted... the older brother is really hot." He says excitedly, pulling up his phone, zooming in on a peculiar, yet gorgeous family.
On the farthest left, towards the wall, sat who I assumed to be the mother. She had electric blue hair, like mine but much longer, put in a neat fishtail braid. The only difference with her hair, other than the length of course, was the small hints of gray that somehow managed to make her appear more attractive, complimenting her pale purple eyes and light pink lips. Her skin was a warm cocoa, a long skinny arm belonging to her wrapped around a little girl that looked the complete opposite of her, the only thing they shared were two necklaces they each wore, sharing the same type of charm. Pale skin, long blonde curly hair put into two high pigtails, with shining bright blue eyes that held darkness to them, despite her young age.
I shift my eyes over to the next girl, and that was when I saw her for the first time. Tightly curled pink hair, that was completely natural, no curling iron needed. Her bright bubblegum hair framed her adorably chubby cheeks nicely, her light cocoa skin revealing small hints of golden freckles, making it look like Solis himself kissed her. But it was her eyes that were the most mesmerizing. They were dark purple, but light enough so you could see her pupils, and they seemed to reflect the light, giving her eyes different shades and depths. I bite my lip and stare at her a bit longer, before shaking my head to realize how creepy I must seem. I was thankful Will didn't say anything about that, but that didn't last long.
"She is really attractive, right? But look at how hot her older brother is. He even has a snake tattoo and eyebrow piercings, like god damn. I mean, I'd hit that." He says casually, and I direct my attention to the older brother, who was doodling on a kids menu. He had two eyebrow rings on his left eyebrow, both somehow bringing his features together, making them appear more fit. A dark green tattoo of a cobra slithers around his arm, giving the appearance of a really long, totally extra bracelet. He was biting his lip to concentrate, revealing a small piercing there as well. Totally Will's type. His dark purple eyes were partly closed in concentration, and his short-cut dark pink hair kissed his forehead gracefully.
"Why is the whole family so gorgeous? It is so not fair." Will whines, turning off his phone when he realizes I was finished looking. I know what I was about to say seemed dirty and creepy, but I just had to see her again.
"Hey, do you think you could send me that photo? The little girl reminds me of someone I've seen before, and I want to do some research." I try to casually play it off, avoiding his eyes, knowing he already could tell I was lying.
"Sure Yuki... it's for research. Just research." He shakes his head and kisses my forehead before sending me the picture, and sighing in play disappointment.
"I thought I taught you better than to lie to me about your crushes, shame. Oh well, let's go watch a movie. I really wanna watch Wolf Children again, it's so cute. Especially the little boy? Cutest pupper ever." He picks me up before I can say anything, and softly throws me onto the living room couch, before running to hand me the remote and making some popcorn.
"Extra buttery, right?" I call out as I switch on the TV, totally forgetting about the knife stashed under the towels. Totally forgetting about the scars on my wrist. And totally forgetting about... him. I smile to myself. I really do love my best friend. What would I do without him?
"Of course extra buttery! Why do you think I always have to go to the gym? Cause all we eat while your parents are out is your hidden stash of snacks I supply you with. Yay for hardening our arteries!" He shouts back, crashing onto the couch while holding onto a large bowl overflowing with popcorn, placing it between the two of us as the movie starts. I wouldn't mind living in this moment forever.
