After 10 years, the castle town is at peace but Cahaya notices something odd happening and runs to notify her adopted brother who is a guard. Before she can, she is targeted and is nearly. Waking up in the castle, she meets Ashari and is told of her predicament. She was engaged with the King and to add to that, it happened 10 years ago.

Five Imperial General generations later, Ashari Chandra, the 15th General took control. Due to his father’s strict guidance and harsh demeanor, he was respected but feared by most of his people, even since a young age.

On the day of his 22nd birthday, he woke with a surprise as his younger sister, Amisha, jumped on him. It was what he had expected from an 8-year-old girl. Amisha ruffled through his messy blue hair then hid under his covers as their mother entered the room. She asked if Amisha was here. Ashari lied and said no but she was heard heading down to the Great Hall for breakfast. The mother stared at Ashari then went over to his covers and revealed the young girl. Amisha laughed and embraced her mother.

Ashari entered the Great Hall an hour later where he faced other officials who gathered to celebrate his day. As he approached the table, they stood and bowed to their leader. Ashari dismissed the greeting then sat down. The food was served not long after. To his left, his friend and Advisor, Harto Yudari, held up two fingers on his left hand. Ashari nodded then quietly finished his meal. Once everyone was finished and left, Ashari met Harto in a corner near the kitchen. Harto asked Ashari what was wrong with him. He replied nothing. Harto chuckled and asked when he was going to look for a girlfriend. Ashari said he didn’t know and that he was too occupied with work that he hasn’t and probably won’t have time to do so. Harto asked if he was free enough for a sparring match later in the evening. Ashari said he’ll see him there.

At the same time, in the capital town of the Empire, a knock came to the front door. Waking up from her short slumber, Cahaya Widjaya opened the door to find a tall man looking down on her. Cahaya yawned then greeted her older adoptive-brother, Gamma. Cahaya complimented her brother’s new military attire but teased him for having to start from a Private level despite

his immense skill in combat and weaponry. Gamma pinched her cheek and told her to get ready for work. She rushed off and dressed up in a hurry. Gamma glanced at a picture hanging on the wall. It was taken before an army

attacked the capital, 10 years ago. The attack destroyed hundred so homes and killed thousands of people within the Empire. It was staged by those who had traveled to the Empire and returned to their homelands filled with evil. Gamma’s parents and younger siblings lost their lives in the massacre. It was one of the reasons Gamma became a guard as well.

Cahaya returned to the room dressed in purple cheongsam with golden tights and black flat shoes. Gamma helped brush her hair into a bun at the top and clip two flower accessories on. The two walked to a nearby cafe that Cahaya worked at. After saying their goodbyes, Cahaya was called to the kitchen to assist in preparing for the shop’s opening.

Two days pass and Cahaya notices a group of mysterious men flooding the town. She leaves to find her brother when a building is set on fire and people began to scream. Crowds of people began running in Cahaya’s direction. Cahaya hid in the alleys of two buildings, watching guards being slaughtered. A loud crash was heard from behind her. Cahaya stood there frozen. She hesitantly turned to find a wearing armor shoulder plates and carrying a long spear. He was drunk but glared at Cahaya. The man shuffled through his pocket and pulled out a tattered sheet of paper with Cahaya’s face on it. He looked back up at the girl and threw his spear at her. She ducked and ran away. The spear missed. As she ran through the empty, fire-filled streets, she was being followed by a large group of men. They quickly surrounded her. One of the men threw a knife at her back. It hit and Cahaya lost consciousness as she saw her brother fighting off the men.

Cahaya finds herself in a large bedroom with locked windows and beautiful designs. At her bedside is Gamma, sleeping. The door opens and Ashari walks in with a tray of food for two people. Gamma wakes up and jumps at his sister. Cahaya flinches in pain. Gamma apologizes and explains their situation as it was almost the same as 10 years ago, a massacre to locate and kill one person. Ashari introduces himself and explains his relationship with her brother and her.
