"OK, so we'll start the partner project tomorrow, have a nice day."

Mr. Richard looks at me when he's done speaking.

"Can I see you for a minute?"

Oh please let me not be in trouble, I can't afford it.

"Sure."

He waits for the whole class to leave, which is weird because he's usually one of those people who just say what they need to say to get it out of the way, not caring who in the world hears. Which makes me think... Oh...no this is bad. Nooo why??? Today of all days. My day has been bad enough, will I ever catch a break??? He turns to me.

"Kylie, your partner is Ivan... Right?"

"Yes sir"

I'm honestly getting worried here.

"I want to let you know that Ivan isn't a bad kid..."

Then why are we having this conversation right now?

"He's just different and not in a bad way, he just prefers to be by himself, so he may be quiet and to himself, I just don't want you to give him a hard time, I know your a good kid Kylie, but give him time and he might open up to you, I'm telling you this so you don't get frustrated with him or anything." He said worriedly.

I reply as cheerfully as I can,

"Don't worry Mr. Richards I don't get frustrated easily."

Sighing he says,

"Alright then, you can go now, thank you."

To tell the truth, I'm kind of scared. What if I can't get this kid to even talk to me? Will I do this project by myself? What if he doesn't even like me? Looks like I'll just have to find out tomorrow...
