I pray for you and all the others who have had to and are still going through such traumatic experiences. I know that Mexico is truly a beautiful place, but, just like everywhere else, there are cruel people and this world likes to inflict pain and conflict onto those who are truly unworthy of such injustices. I apologize on behalf of the senseless, insensitive assholes who tried to invalidate you, your country, and your trauma. I apologize and I pray that you now feel at peace with yourself.

Starting university in the United States after living in the slums in Mexico his entire life, he must traverse an entirely new world while keeping everyone at a distance. But, no matter how hard he pushes everyone away, there's people who keep getting closer.
