I gasp sitting up, memories pouring into my mind and I cry out as something pours out of me causing a strange energy in the air, almost like lightning.
“Her powers are returning. That is a good sign,” Lance says sarcastically, “I mean it’s not like she almost killed me with lightning last time we spoke, well when I was in the cloud that is.” He shrugs and grins at me like I should know what the is talking about. I frown looking at the three of them, memories that are not mine flood in and I struggle to decode them. Nico lightly takes my face in his hands and turns me to him.
“Luna take a deep breath, control your power.” I do as he asks and take a deep breath looking around me and notice that Nico has jet-black wings. I tilt my head when I see them than glance at the other two and see that they have midnight black wings, a shade or two lighter than Nico’s. Lance’s wings shift as he stands and leaves the room. I take another breath and slowly the electricity flows back into me.
“What is going on,” I focus my eyes on Nico, who seemed prepared for the question.
“You, my dear, are a Guardian. You are the light. The crown jewel, may I say, of your race, Crown Princess Luna.” He smiles at me and reaches over my shoulder and pulls a white, and black tipped, wing from behind me and I feel the heat of his hand on it. I smack his hand with the wing and tuck it behind me.
“Well princesa, what do you think,” Nick says leaning forward in his seat and smiling at me.
“I don't understand…” I say as I pick through the memories in my head finding information and filing it into different ‘folders’ in my head making sense of the information. I frown as I finally figure out where I had seen Nico before. I focus on him again and whisper, “Prince Nico of the Fallen Wings, commander of the deep sea.” Nico grins as I say his whole title. He takes my hand lightly and kisses it softly.
“At your service my lady.” I glare at him and run a hand through my hair, pulling it from his.
“Luna, Do you remember me?” I look at Nick and realize that he was originally a Guardian.
“Nicolas. You have joined the fallen?” I focus my ‘stare’ on him like I had when we were kids growing up together in the halls of the Sun Queendom. By using it I always got what I wanted, and right now I was aiming for information.
“Yea. I joined them shortly after you had died…” he looks at me and I see the embarrassment in his eyes. “I'm a half-breed though so they expected me to turn later on. My mum was a Fallen-wing, I joined, yea after you died, but also after my da killed my mum, in the commons of the sun palace.” I blink in surprise, Nick’s father had been an advisor to my mother and Nick was to become mine.
“Oh I didn’t know...” I look towards Lance, who just reentered the room, and silently spark the air by his ear, startling him. He glares at me and rubs his ear. Nico smiles softly and hold out his hand to me offering me a hand so I may stand. I take it and stand carefully, my purple shirt falling back below my hips and I undo the braid crown from my hair letting it fall loosely around my shoulders. I look around and see where they had placed my stuff and I glance a the time and smirk.
“I missed my classes again,” I say laughing. Nico and Nick laugh softly, and Lance smirks.
“Luna, what side do you fight for?” I look at Nico, and think how to answer his question.
“I must learn more before I decide,” I say after a little, watching their expressions. Nico nods, Nick frowns then nods, and Lance just rolls his eyes. I smirk at Lance and wiggle my fingers little sparks dancing across my hands, I flick one his way and he jumps backward his wings forming a shield in front of him. Nico and Nick both laugh softly, watching.
“Not funny,” Lance growls, a threat in his voice. I laugh and spread my arms, creating a halo of sparks above my head.
“Whatever you say Lance,” I say sarcastically and when he turned his back I send the halo spinning towards him. It hovers above his head and whenever he said something offencive about me it shocked him lightly. I turn back to the other two, “We must find me a body soon. This host will not last that much long.” I should explain that human hosts only last seventeen years and that I have been in this one for sixteen. Nico nods and says, “I will arrange for a gathering and let you pick a new body.” He pulls out his i-phone and sends a mass text out. “There are twenty some half-breed females that will be there, you can take your pick from them. There is also thirty or so fallen wings that have offered, and about five undercover Guardians that would gladly give you their bodies…. Well we have about five guardians in prison, that you could use if you want.” I laugh softly, kind of expecting that.
