Eyes closed
And I feel your touch
Fingers moving in circles across my skin
Tracing my figure in a strange cosmic form.
I’m not sure if love is one person or many in different forms,
Teaching me what love is or
what love can be but I let her.
While my eyes are closed.
She leans in and I can smell her perfume
like sea salt hanging over the ocean.
I crave her closeness as I bite my lip
Eyes open again.
I have never met her,
Her tan skin,
Her wavy hair,
Her fit frame,
But I welcomed it.
I wonder if I’ll see her
With wide eyes and full of wonder.
What would I tell her if anything?
“I’ve seen you and your many forms, love,
and I welcome every one of them if they’ll have me.”
Or would I remain silent,
Curious of her touch,
Her taste,
Her answer.
I welcome love in all her forms,
So long as they are hers and I
Will forever be curious if love craves me.
And my touch,
My taste,
The air I breathe,
The earth I walk
as it crumbles behind
me as I approach her.
Answer me, love,
I’m waiting.
