The sun hung low and gold in the sky, preparing to take it's nightly dive into the stars. The only sounds were the gentle rustling of leaves and the soft chirps of birds. However, she knew that the sweet serenity would soon be broken by the sirens of an ambulance. She barely hung onto the final threads of life, and she was quite calm about it. She couldn't feel anything, not even the weight of the car on her limp body. Her vision started to fade, and she thought that maybe this wasn't so bad. Finally, she drew her last breath, the faint scent of lilac in the air. The birds kept singing their songs.
