They sat in an idiotic circle while flaring at each other waiting for one of them to speak in the middle of the forest field, Little Darling felt the tension between them but not entirely sure how to start the conversation. The fish lady, which Sqee called Kai’Ek, was bruising all over and is wrapping her arms with some leaves. Sqee only watches but as he approaches to help, Kai’Ek just hissed and turned.

“I don’t need your help, I’m a warrior, and you’re… You’re just someone who doesn’t care about us anymore,” Kai’Ek finally spoke.

“Who said I didn’t care? Just because I ran away does not mean I forgot about where I came from and…” Sqee quickly grabbed the leaves from her hand and attached it to her back, “...us…” he continued in a slow tone.

Little Darling who has been sitting across them, she watches as both two unusual creature stare into each others’ eyes. Without hesitation, Little Darling spoke,

“Sqee! What is going on here? 20 minutes ago I saw the two of you were on a Viking battle and 5 minutes later, this? And Sqee? You can talk our language?” her hand and her shapeshifting horns started flailing, “Can anyone explain?”

Sqee sighed and about to open his mouth but was interrupted by Kai’Ek,

“My name is Kai’Ek and I have come here to pick up a delivery that is called QUE’YAI here!” she turns in anger.

“Look! LD, ignore her for a moment. Yes, I can talk in human language. The gurgling noises were just a..gurgling, your people are amazing at sign languages and this girl… this fish lady. Is my fiancée” he said in a soft voice.”

There’s an awful strong silence around them and only the small whistling noises of the trees brushing onto each others’ branches from the wind.

“YOU ARE MARRIED?!” Little Darling screamed.

“Oh, my Neptunite! WE’RE ENGAGED! Not married yet!” Sqee turned color as he corrected her.

Kai’ek and Sqee stare at each other while Little Darling’s face clearly glows excitedly. Another silence but later break as Sqee open his mouth again.

“Look, again, it’s engaged… Not married completely. She is my friend back in my old home, back before I ran away from there. I am still and legally a Prince.”

Little Darling had another glow in her eyes and the shapeshifting blob on her head covers her lower chin like how hands would.

“Why did you run away?” she asks.

Sqee gave a stern look as he stares down to the ground.

“I got bored living deep in the abyss, I wanted to explore the farther lands.”

“That’s a bit cliché.. Isn't it?” Little Darling interrupts.

“True. But isn’t THAT the same story as yours, LD?” Sqee smirk at her while tilting his head slightly.

Little Darling pouts in protest, she just turns and swaying her single hand away, telling Sqee to continue his story.

“My mother always blocking my path from leaving, she would tell me how dangerous the outside world is. I would argue with her day and night, my brothers and sisters would implore me to reconsider of leaving,” Sqee changes his gaze to Kai’ek, “That’s when Mother decides to arrange my engagement,”

“I was once his friend, companion, the day I was chosen to marry him, it was a tradition for our culture for the partner to take a stance to show how much one loves his or her partner.” she said, looking at Sqee, “Though we battle, I knew I will never win the fight. I lead Sqee to a secret passage from his castle,”

Sqee told Little Darling about how it was actually a plan all along, how they actually manage to find the bright Sun on the surface. Kai’ek was the one who helped Sqee with all the languages that people speaks on land.

“Wait, so why did you searching for Sqee back?” asked Little Darling after soaking all the stories in her head.

Kai’ek sits properly and raised one finger just to point at Sqee before said, “I have to bring him back,”

“Why? Is there something wrong?”

There was trouble happen in the Abyss, the waters senses danger surrounds the region where the kingdom lies. A underwater warship have been passing through and it threatens most of the food resources. Sqee’s mother had to take the ship down before they can survive and discover their hiding place.

“Your mother is ill, Sqee.”
