I dragged my comatose body on the doorstep while my parents and two little brothers pulled up onto the driveway. I lay on the roof, without having disappear of course, and with beaming eyes glared upon them like a drifting spirit yearning for a chance at overcoming the human and becoming one with it.
Usually I am in bed at this time just doing nothing. Sleep is not really a necessity so I just play with balloons.
I lay their waiting for something to happen, but it took them ages to notice.
While I was waiting I decided if I'm a spirit I shouldn't talk, but rather speak in notes. It must be easier to understand it's me with my crappy handwriting.
My mother grabbed some blankets then grabbed the keys to open the door. The pile was so big she didn't see me, and tripped on me. Her face filled with more expressions than a 12 faces doll.
Her first instinct was to check the marking on my knee, it fades away if you die. She was relieved but it was only partially lit. She went to my father and took the phone out of his pocket and immediately called 330, or 911 on Earth.
A little while later the paramedics came put me on a stretcher and brought me to a hospital a city away.
Why not closer?
The police also came and asked about my whereabouts. My mother replied,"Today is it's 16Th birthday."
"It?" replied the sheriff
My mother went in closer to the sheriff while my body got sent away,"Comet."
A stunned look came upon his face.
"Well then." The sheriff stood up, closed his book, and turned to his left,"Case closed everyone!" He had a degree in detection as well.
Everyone left and the sun started to show its face. Then a helicopter from the sight earlier arrival and requested a private investigation. Some of them stayed for their own safety. Especially Michael and Lieutenant George, the one who threw the shoe. My house had space around it so the helicopter landed and I went up to the pilot and whispered,"I will be leaving now, tell the rest of the people here that I won't kill them, yet. And another thing. If you don't tell them exactly what I told you, I will show you what a god can really do."
...
I went over to the Research Facility/Hospital, the place I was at, and my family went pouring into the waiting room claiming a little more than half of it. I went inside while the door was open a wrote a note with the paper and pens in the room. Dear Mother, I greatly apologise for the inconvenience of this situation. Please tell everyone that I will be ok in due time. |Melissa|
I left the note on my mothers tissue box and went back to Michael at the farm house.
