Hello. I am Taichi Yamada. I have an ordinary life. Just as anyone, I have a wish and I want that wish to come true.

My wish is...to soar the skies with someone I love. Literally, I want to be an astronaut when the time comes. And if that happens, then I would like my wife or someone precious to me to soar the skies, to soar the entire galaxy with me.

But, I heard there was a famous rumor about wishes coming true. One thing is, they say it's really easy to do. Maybe, that's why they loved to do the wishing a lot. It's said that you should gather your treasures/jewelries and pray your wish. If you did that, then a pretty girl or in my country, we call KAWAII girl(shoujo) might appear. If she appeared, you'll put your jewelries in and make your wish. Then, she'll give a warning then leave. Creepy, i know.

But...

It's just a rumor....

Who would be an idiot to believe that dumb and idiotic story. That is so unrealistic.

Of course, I would love to make my wish come true, after all, it's hard to put your blood and sweat to it. But, that can't be just that easy.

So, here I am. I went to the Planetarium today. I hope i didn't took long.

I spent like an hour looking at the stars and the constellations of the Milky Way. Astronomy is amazing! I just love astronomy!

And then, I saw the moon. I realized how beautiful the moon looks right at this point of view. Looking through the Kaleidoscope. The whole universe for your eyes only.

I have to leave now, it's just a pity I could only look at them. It would be better to be able to touch the heavenly bodies. I wonder how they feel like. Probably, they feel like huge, gigantic rocks. But, is it cold? Warm? Or hot? I don't know! I have to know! Even if I search the internet I won't be pleased! I must feel the atmosphere beyond the Stratosphere! !

But...How?

As i went and walked the streets to home, i think it's already 8pm. I'm not sure. I saw this girl. To me, she looks like she came from a cosplay convention or from Tokyo. She's dressed in such outfit, she looks similar to a princess. He stood there still. Until, a group of young gangsters came and passed by. They were chattering a lot. Their chatter stopped when they saw the girl. 

They shouted and jeered her. She didn't spoke to them. Suddenly, one of the guys kissed her neck. She shoved him hard and away. They played with her more. They asked her questions and she replied in French. Then, she talked to them in Japanese. I think she was trying to insult them. Then they did lots of abuse to her. Immediately, I took immediate action. I had my first fight there. They ran away after. Then, i feel so beat up and tired. She looked at me as I laid on the ground.

I asked her, "He-hello. Tell me...what your name is?..."

She replied, " Why did you protected me? I am but a stranger to you. Why? Tell me that!"

"Because...it is unbearable...to see. A woman treated like...that...you happen to be...a beautiful lady..."

Her face began to look red. She was stammering when she talk. That was the last thing i remember. I can't remember what she was trying to say. I lay unconscious while she was saying something.

When i woke up, I’m lying on my bed. I looked at my clock and its 9pm. my...did she carried me to my room? Well, then...thank you...did i said that out loud?

I can hear loud footsteps. I think it's to my room.

Then, father opened the door. He was shouting a lot as he pulled my shirt. It appears like he's scolding me. Why? Suddenly, he punched me in the face. I felt the floor and blood coming out of my head. Mother came to my room and she was crying. He was crying so much. She tried her best to stop my father beating me up. But, he slapped her and shoved her hardly and away from him. He approached my mother and punched her 'til her nose bleed. Good thing the neighbors came and dragged my father out. And they took me and my mother to the hospital.

Tomorrow came, and later I heard my father was sentenced to death and was punished with an electric chair for breaking the woman and child abuse act. And breaking the peace of the night with violence act. Also, judge said that he was found drunk that night. So there. What happened to dad? Why was he acting like that? I asked my mom that. And then, she started crying. She told me that she was called to the court. They won't start filing the case without me.

She told me this: 

I know you were out because you went to visit the planetarium again. Your father came home bringing a bottle of alcohol. He reeks of alcohol! He started sitting on the couch commanding me to prepare his supper, for he has a girlfriend as a guest. I thought he brought a girl for you. But, instead he cheated on me. I can't do anything about it. I just hope you return and report him to the police. But still you didn't. I guess i should stop this with the best way I can. I convinced him that he was doing wrong. He started kissing the girl and molesting her. What happened to your father? I told him that he already has a son. He let the girl leave and marched to your room. As he heard you saying, "Thank you..". And there that happened.

She then asked me, why did i muttered something like that and how i arrived to my room without passing the door.

She thought that maybe i passed thru the window. So, I told her what happened to me. She stopped crying after hearing my story. She was filled with Bewilderment. After a long stay at the hospital, we went home and everything was ok. With the help of our neighbors, we threw all the stuff that reminded us of father. That was such an emotional encounter.

Good thing, he's not here to give us more problems.

After cleaning the house, i was about to sit on our new couch beside my mother. But, someone was knocking on the door. I opened it, and saw.....the girl!

The girl whom I've met the other day. She came to give me a gift. It was an amulet. She told me that it'll give me protection once I used it. My mother heard a voice of calm and gentle and she told me that I should let her in.

I welcomed her anyway. She seemed happy to be in our company. She had lunch with us and all. She seemed happy anyway.

Just noticed that ever since she became close to us, the rumor about the magic wishing box somehow stopped. Frequently, she would say good bye all-of-the-sudden. She said she has to go to somewhere important.

She really is a weird girl. But. I feel like...when i look at her, everything will be fine. I know she can't protect me. I just don't know anymore.

I think....

I'm in love with her...

...suddenly, i remembered my wish...

...and pictured her in that wish...

We've been together for a while now.

One day, i asked her to come with me when the day comes that she isn't busy.

Well, she told me that Saturday she'll come. And then, we'll meet on a bridge at 6pm. I promised her that i will take her to the planetarium.

Then, that day came. Mother helped me with my outfit. I seriously had no idea why I’m wearing something so formal. Well, I’m having a date with a beautiful girl like her.

It's almost time. I went to the bridge where we're supposed to meet. I'm dressed in a very formal Yukata. I just can't wait to see her! 6pm came. Finally!

I don't see her yet. Hmm...I guess I’ll look down the river. As i look at the river, someone pushed me! I almost fell! I looked and saw....

It was her....

She looked so beautiful in her kimono. She looked like a princess! She's so pretty!

She laughed cause i was shocked when she pushed me. And then, she blushed.

And then, she asked me..."Do I look alright?"

And I say yes...you look wonderful tonight...

We had a night together. Talking to each other, listening to each other, gazing at each other's eyes. When I'm with her, I'll always feel safe and sound.

"Taichi, tell me something..." she said. "Why did you chose to suffer for me?"

"What suffer do you mean?"

"The day I met you. You did that for me. I don't even mean a thing to you that time yet. Why, Taichi?"

"Well, first...answer my question."

"SURE!"

"What did you whispered that day I first met you--"

Just like that. She grabbed my arm, pulled me, and kissed me.

That was the first time I was kissed by a girl. My first kiss.

I didn't hesitate. I kissed her back. We kissed for like 15 seconds. And when she stopped i asked her. "Why? Why did you stop my question?"

She replied, "Then, why did you stopped kissing me?"

"Please...You know I love you. But, it's hard if I don't know what to call you. Please tell me your name. " I said.

"That was what I whispered to you...on the day we met. My name is....Morticia.." she told me.

Morticia...such a beautiful name for a woman of such beauty.

"Morticia. That’s a beautiful name. Alright then, Morticia. I would have something to give you...

Morticia....will you..

Marry me? " I said to her.

She cried and hugged me. She whispered to my ear and said,

"Yes! I do!"

"Morticia, you will !? "

"Yes, Taichi! I will marry you! "

We immediately married after a few days.

"Morticia, are you hurt? "

"No, it's...it's nothing...never mind that.."

"Tell me."

"What is your wish, Taichi?"

"Right now, to hold you this tight forever..." i answered her

"No. What is your true wish? "

"If I won’t love you, will you still love me?"

"Of course i will! I'll love you till the very end! But....will you do the same for me? I hope you're not disappointed in me..."

"How could I be disappointed on you? "

"Never mind what I said. “

After a few moments, we fell asleep and we slept beside each other.

When morning came, I look at our bed and noticed that she's not there beside me anymore.

"Morticia? "

Where has she gone?

Oh wait. There she is~!

"Good morning Taichi~! "

"Good morning, Morticia-dear~! 

Did you sleep well last night? "

"Yes. You? "

"Yup. "

".....ah... . "

"What’s wrong, Morticia? "

".... . "

"Morticia, answer me. "

"....Tai...chi.... "

"Morticia? "

"....Tai..Ch..I.."

She fainted..

"Morticia!! Morticia, are you alright?! Morticia!! MORTICIA WAKE UP! MORTICIA!!! "

I took her to the hospital. And the doctor said she had a coma. So, I decided to let her rest for a while until she wakes up.

She then woke up after 2 days.

"Taichi...? "

"Morticia! "

"Where am I? What happened ? "

"You fainted 2days ago. Are you feeling better now? "

"...i. Still feel tired.."

This saddened me. After a week we left the hospital...

She just isn't feeling well anymore.

"Morticia, are you alright? "

"Yes Taichi. As long as you're here... just don't leave me... okay? "

I nodded. And as she laid in her bed, she held a silver box near her chest.

"Morticia...what is that? Why do you have a silver box with you? This is the first time I’ve seen you hold that box.. " I asked

She sighed, "Taichi, don't feel bad or anything.. This will be my biggest secret.. I entrust this secret to you because you are my husband. "

"Yes. I understand. "

"This is a jewelry box. And, actually, I’m not of this world. I'm not an alien either. I came from the different side of the universe. And that is where you can never see or never know. Not even remember. That place is unknown. "

"Who lives there, Morticia? "

"Only the souls of the pure lives there. The souls of the ones of pure wishes. You see... I’m the one who caused those rumors before.. "

"What?! The rumors.. Before? The one with the magic box? "

"Yes, Taichi. I am that beautiful girl who will appear when someone wishes. This is the Dream Box, Taichi. This... this box will never open unless one wishes. "

She even showed me as she tries opening the Dream Box. She even let me open it. But, it just really can't open. It doesn't have a lock on it. Maybe it really is just a box of Magic. 

"But Taichi, I'm dying. No one is wishing anymore. If this will continue, then i will surely cease to exist. I don't resurrect. I 'll just be with those pure souls. This is why the rumor slowly fades away.

Suddenly... i feel tear drops from my cheek to her face.

"I'm sorry, Morticia.. I did this to you! You loved me truly but i, have done this to you! Now, you'll die and it's all because of me! I've been so selfish!! "

She softly held my face and wiped softly my tears.

"It's alright, Taichi.. Please tell me.. What is your wish...? If i grant your wish, i can continue living again.. "

"My only wish... Is to soar the Galaxies... the whole universe with you, My Love! That is all that i needed! "

Suddenly, her body turned to ashes..

Then the ashes glowed! Then blinding bright light filled the room! Then i see her again. There, she floats in thin air.. Holding the Dream Box...

"Your wish is granted.. " she said with a smile.

And as i blinked my eyes open..

We suddenly went to the solar system!

My eyes can't handle this mind blowing scenery! I'm not even wearing Astro suits!

And there she is, holding my hand as we soar the skies together!

My wish was granted. My most loved treasure..

I will never be able to see him again.. Good bye, Taichi. Your pure soul will forever live in happiness in the other side of the Universe. And you will forever be able to soar the skies...
