Akira's POV:
I've been trying to get this piece right, but nothing seems to be giving me the inspiration I need to continue it!
My large 4 1/2 by 6 foot white canvas would stay with the same nearly finished project for god knows how long.
From inches below bare collarbones, a lady with grotesque, blackened, stringy hair that hung over her bare, pale shoulders like drapes lightly held a rare, royal blue apple. The hand gesture was if is the treasure had once slipped out of her grasp, and she wouldn't allow it again, but at the same time did not wish to harm the dainty jewel. To the side, a pearl white snake had bared its fangs a mere centimeter away from the forbidden fruit, ready to indulge. Her second hand attempted to tug the serpent back out of sheer greed for the single blue apple.
The illustration was completely drawn in hyper realism, and perfectly duplicated the image that had first gone through my mind. Except for one thing.
The eyes.
"Goddamnit!"
For everything I've ever cared about, could I just get the motherfucking eyes to represent?!
I've been staring at my pencil made, near masterpiece for awhile now. The exhibition for art department students would open in 2 hours, and I was the host, as well as a participant!
This wasn't just any exhibition! There would be a poll for the best student made art, and whoever had the most when the votes were tallied would win a $100,000 cash grant!
Of course I was going for it! Who wouldn't?! Well...everyone outside the west wing? Wait! That's besides the point!

Inspiration
Now.
I hastily got up from the cool, black marble floor before dusting myself off.
I had already placed my piece on the display, and was given special permission to reside in the hall to finish it before the event opened.
Focus Akira!
I speed walked my way past a mirror in which I caught my reflection gazing back at me with the same cornered look.
I had plain, curly medium brown hair that was strung in a high ponytail, and had a few locks to frame my, well frames. The midnight blue of the boxy frames of my glasses sat oddly against my rosy, pinkish irises, a pretty gift I got from my last hardcore fight in 11th grade.
Finally! I grabbed the dangerously sharp glass contraption by the handle, along with a latter and dragged them back to my makeshift workspace.
Carefully, I strung the contraption a few feet above my own head. I've done this plenty of times, nothing's gonna happen.
After having it in place I took a deep breathe.
I jumped just enough to let the sharpest point prick the top of my head.
Ah~ There it is.
Sweet Adrenaline.
The sudden rush in energy signals me to get to work. I leap forward, to the display with my sharpened silver pencil. After minutes of a few precise, and detailed strokes, its done!
Both eyes are now drawn in perfect likeness to any human's. Gray, and reflective, like orb shaped mirrors. Everything in the piece is done in graphite, the shading, the texture, and even the colors all came from the several identical pencils on the floor! All except the blue apple, of course. That I painted. It goes so well against all the monotone grays! Like a 1900s photograph with a speck of color!
I danced around the outside of the velvet ropes in glee.
"Finally this shit's done!"
I toss up my hair while doing an airborne victory stretch.
Bad idea.
'Shit! Shit! Shit! Shiiiit!'
Sitting in the infamous mermaid pose, I desperately try to support myself. My shaky arms tremble wildly, as I can't lift the dead weight, and unintentionally begin lowering my upper body. I know it went through me, its in my neck right now!
Wide eyed, I wait terrified of the sharp pain that comes with a chandler made of glass, and knives piercing through the back your unprotected neck.
"Oi, peasant, what are you laying there for?"
I ignore the painfully obvious himedere, and continued my internal monologue.
Only lightly breathing, I-
"I SAID," the himedere marches in front front of me, hands on its hips, "what are you lying there for peasant?"
I internally cringed at the use of the 'peasant.' I really want to face palm right now, but with this person in front of me, the first thing I caught was their appearance.
They had slightly longish scarlet red hair, and rare coppery amber, and red eyes. He was wearing a white, and gold prince's costume Everything about their entire ensemble, and aura seemed princely. Except the gold king's crown that sat atop his ruby locks.
'Wait.....*blank* looks familiar'
