What happened next was like a surreal dream, or more like a nightmare.
Her body acted for her, it was acting purely on instincts. Or that was what she told herself. It felt more like she was a puppet and something or someone greater than her was controlling her. But it was easier to think she was doing this all herself.
Her hands reached for her swords and she stood up. The snow that had piled on her fell onto the floor. She should have felt cold, something, anything. She felt nothing, her body and mind were numb.
She saw Leon across the room. His body was not moving and his eyes were closed. There was a glowing blue gel over the right side of his face. The Dalmatian puppy was somehow still alive and was hovering over Leon's body.
White fire suddenly emerged from her hands and spread to her blades.
Belial was bending over Sillie's body. She could sense his body tensing up and could feel the surprise, and a hint of fear, radiating off of him.
"She gave you some of her energy?" He asked with out turning around, "little angel."
"Scared?" Her voice sounded deeper, more menacing than it was before.
She knew it was wrong to compare herself to a God but that was the only way she could think of to explain this new power she was experiencing. She felt like a God. She had learned about human's mythology in her free time. There was the God of Thunder, Thor, from Norse mythology. She told Leon that Thor was her favorite, believing he was a better role model than her true favorite, Loki, the God of Mischief.
This power she felt, made her feel like Thor and Loki combined.
She could feel her skin tingle as her body transformed. She became taller, all color drained from her. When she looked at her arms, they looked like white marble.
"Fuck you, Gabriel," Belial spat.
Cecilia could feel her lips smile.
Her skin tingled again as she formed back into herself.
Her body then lunged forward as she took the first strike.
Cecilia felt as light as air itself. Her strikes were faster than it was before. Her reaction time, as well.
He deflected all her strikes at first but after some time, his technique became sloppy and she was able to land a hit on his torso. Half of her blade penetrated him and he spit up black blood. She pulled her sword out and his blood dripped off the blade and onto the white snow.
White fire stayed on his body and he collapsed to the floor.
"Give up?" Cecilia asked. The fire on her swords shrunk away and her swords turned back into bracelets on her wrists.
He chuckled, "you don't even know what your new found power does."
He held a hand over his burning wound and he winced as the fire devoured his hand, "everything the fire touches burns until all that's left is ashes."
He threw something at her.
It was Sillie's eyes.
"If I hold onto them, they will burn," he said, "so I figured I would give them to you as a gift."
He continued laughing, "you know what, I'll give you another gift."
He reached his burning hand towards her. Black blood dripped from his fingertips and seemed to defy gravity as it raced toward her. The blood splattered on her own hand and soaked into her skin. She was then pulled into her mind.
Belial was standing up in his full glory in front of her.
"You might have killed me, but you'll never get rid of me. I gave you my energy. When a demon or archangel give you their energy, it molds with your own energy. I've never heard of a case where an individual had both an archangel and a demon. I look forward to seeing how this goes," he walked closer to her and she took a step back.
"I can't hurt you, physically, at least," he said.
"What are you doing, Belial," a different voice came from her mouth.
"Hello, Gabriella," Belial smiled, "and to answer your question, I'm doing a little experiment."
"It's Gabriel. Not Gabriella," she said.
"Gabriel is a boys name and you're a girl," Belial said.
Cecilia looked at her body and it was white marble.
"Stop." That voice belonged to Gabriel.
"What are you going to do? Kill me?"
"You're such a pain in the-"
"Here let me finish it for you. Ass. I'm a pain in your ass."
"I was going to say neck."
"Ass. Ass. Ass."
"Can you two stop bickering. Just. Just Leave me alone," Cecilia said. She shook her body out and was back in the real world.
In her right hand was Sillie's eyes.
She couldn't take her eyes off them. It was the dog barking at her that pulled her away and made her focus on the situation in front of her.
She rushed to kneel by Leon's side and looked at him. It appeared that just the right side of his face was affected by the blast but she could see the wound repairing itself. There was no eye, however. There was just a black hole.
Cecilia looked at the eyes in her hand and knew what she had to do. She placed one of the eyes on the gel. The eye moved through the gel until it was in place.
Cecilia took a sigh of relief and stood up. The gel started moving down to his wrist and disappeared into the silver bracelet.
He started to stir awake.
"Ce...Ce," he opened his eyes.
"I'm right here," she said. She reached for his hand, but like a ghost, her hand went through him.
She stumbled backwards, "no, no."
"Where are you?" He started sobbing.
"I'm right here," she could feel her own tears forming.
She thought that since he had Sillie's eye, he would still be able to see her. It was going to be the perfect loophole. But as it would turn out, it was not meant to be.
"Leon! I'm right in front of you!" She yelled as she dropped to her knees.
She touched her forehead to the floor, begging the World to let him see her.
Leon stood up and walked through her, "Sillie?"
"Leon! Don't look!" Cecilia tried grabbing him but of course it did not work.
He screamed. And screamed. And screamed.
Her sadness soon turned to anger. The anger was festering inside of her and it felt like if she did not release it soon, she would explode.
She heard a small buzzing sound, it was her head pieces turning on. Since Belial had died, the technology barrier must have gone down with him.
She inserted coordinates on her left palm and was transported to the Shadow World she had gone to with Evangeline.
When the crowd of sins sensed her, they backed away. They must have been able to sense Belial's energy.
"You can control them," Belial said in her head.
She did not want to control them.
She wanted revenge.
Blood.
Suddenly, Belial's sword appeared in her right hand.
She let her blood thirsty instincts control her as she slashed anything and everything that was near her.
The sins started running away from her but she was too fast, too powerful. She started laughing at how easy this was. She must have killed twice as much as her previous kills. And she was only just beginning.
The only thing she felt was the hot black blood splattering on her.
She heard a scream, a human scream. There was a man cowering against a bricked wall. In a blink of an eye she was in front of him. She could smell how scared he was.
She raised her sword to his throat.
......Mercy.....
.....Kill him.....
Her hand started shaking as she thought back and forth on what to do.
"If you're looking for a sign to change your ways, this is it," Cecilia said. She lowered her sword, "but if I see you again, here, I will kill you with no hesitation."
He nodded his head.
"Now leave before I change my mind," she said.
She backed away and he ran. She then saw her reflection in the building window.
Her purple hair was longer than it was before, and reached past her butt. Her nails were longer and sharper, and painted black. Her eyes were the same as Gabriel's eyes. She opened her mouth and saw that her canines were sharper. Her body looked taller and her muscles looked more defined.
On top of all of this, she was covered in black blood.
She was an image straight out of a nightmare.
