We had pancakes for breakfast that day and the were the fluffiest I had ever tasted as a child. I remember feeling like I was flying back then as a kid because I was so happy. That morning we took the Subway to get to my dads work. Though I don’t recall ever actually getting on the train that day. I remember standing by the yellow lines with my dad waiting when I noticed him. He was tall furry creature with big black leather wings and an anteater snout. It spoke in a hushed voice that seemed to be meant for only its ears. “This kid is really creeping me out… Why is he just staring at me like that… It’s almost like he can see me…” I giggled and smiled at the furry creature. “I am looking at you though.” As soon as the words left my mouth it seemed to jump 3 feet in the air. “You mean you can actually see me?!” I nodded and smiled kind of confused. “Can’t everyone see you?” I remember asking it but for a while the demon stayed quite almost as if it was picking out the words it would use carefully. “No people can’t usually see me unless they’ve gone mad or there mind slips into the 5th dimension.” He spoke in a soft whisper of a tone. “Well I hope that I’m not going crazy.” I said with a smile and a small laugh. “Well what were you thinking about before you saw me?” I had to stop and think for a moment before I smiled at the creature like thing. “Trains I guess…” The demon nodded and gave me a small smile. “That makes sense I suppose….Trains link our two worlds togethers.” I stopped for a moment looking at his big strong leather wings.
