As I was busy thinking whether or not it was worth staying in Vydelygma, the citadel shook. A knight ran towards us and informed the old man that there was an attack on the main gates. The old man commanded the knight to assemble the legions of sorcerers, the citadel shook again. Small rocks fell from the roof and I asked the old man about who was attacking, he was pretty sure it was the Thetikos.

I ran outside the citadel and climbed one of the guard towers, I looked around and see a several platoons attempting to breach the walls. From above, the legions of sorcerers from Gi are making a dome out of rocks and boulders, but the platoons outside the walls are using some form of manipulation to break down the dome.

I then see the old man atop of the citadel, meditating. Alongside him was the three strangers, protecting him from the legions. At this moment, I felt so useless. I wanted to do something, but I know I’m still too weak. For now, I continue to watch the battle. For 20 minutes, the legions kept bombarding the walls and breaking the dome.

Then, the old man started resonating something within him. He released what was within him and the dome formed five times faster than the legion could undo it. The dome then pushed outward and pushed the legions with it. It pushed them for about eighty-five kilometers until the dome reached its maximum range and started thickening.

There was quiet for a while and so I returned to the citadel, once I entered, I see the old man discussing a strategy on how to hold them back long enough for reinforcements to arrive. I head to them and ask if I could help, but they just shove me away and say that I’m too unprepared.

The old man stopped them and walked up to me to ask if I knew how to control my abilities yet, to which I responded no. He called the three strangers from earlier and properly introduced them as the Trinity, the generals and survivors from the fallen nations. He told me that they will show me how to focus my abilities.

He told me to wait in the training grounds and so I did, fortunately they had a cafeteria where I could wait. They arrived and sat with me to discuss what we were going to do, they said that we don’t have much time left before they break through the dome and that if I really want to make a difference, I would have to master the basics immediately.

We wasted no time as after the discussion, we began training extensively non-stop. It took me time to firstly use my abilities and it took three times as much time to use it comfortably. I now know that I’m able to decrease the level of my target and nullify their abilities, also with that, I am able to do everything my target does as long as their level is decreased.

Then, the dome started breaking as rocks fell into the training grounds. I didn’t have much time left and I can’t target groups yet, but I know that I can do this!
