I ran to the gates along with the Trinity, I climbed the outer most tower to target my enemies from a safe distance. Far ahead of us was the nearly destroyed dome, it was about to crumble due to the legions. Then it broke and legions flooded in, one after the other. I realized that there were far too many for me to pick off one by one.
After the training earlier, my level reached below -125. Literally all I did was decrease someone else’s level. I looked at the legions and scanned them for a leader so that they would be my priority, but I wasn’t able to locate any kind of captain. Meanwhile, the Trinity and the sorcerers from Gi were attacking using earth and rocks.
They were throwing boulders and flipping the ground to make the legions lose their balance. The legions weren’t unprepared for this though, since they manipulated the boulders to change their direction. They flung the boulders directly back at the castle, the sorcerers who mastered the earth manipulation barely managed to stop the boulders before they hit the citadel.
Then, the dome collapsed entirely and the entire field was filled with soldiers which started charging towards the castle. From afar, I see someone on a golden horse surrounded by a dark aura. I presumed they was the leader of the legions and attempt to block his abilities, but they were way too far from me. I decided to change my targets first and focus on the enemy sorcerers who were nearing the citadel.
A Gi sorcerer threw a boulder at the frontlines, but one of the enemy sorcerers were preparing to fling it back. I targeted them and started decreasing their level to the point where they weren’t able to stop the boulder, the boulder then crashed into the field, eliminating some of the legions. I realized that there was only one sorcerer per platoon for the enemies.
That meant that if I decrease the sorcerers level when a boulder is coming at them, I could sabotage their counterattack. I look for a Gi sorcerer who was preparing an attack and wait for the boulder to launch, after it launched I looked to where it was headed and decreased the level of the sorcerer in the platoon the boulder was going to land in.
By doing this several times, I drastically lowered the amount of soldiers attacking the citadel. I needed to switch position to protect other parts of Gi. I slide down the ladder of the watch tower and run to another gate, I climb the nearest tower and start repeating my strategy. Then I see the person on the golden horse again, they were racing towards the citadel.
The speed that the horse was moving was incredible, the Trinity and the Gi couldn’t lay a finger on them due to their high level barrier and manipulation abilities. That’s when I realized they were in my range and I attempt to decrease their level, but I get a painful shock. I fall on the ground in confusion and slowly get up, I couldn’t decrease his level.
They were gaining more speed and getting closer to the citadel, I didn’t want to even try to decrease his level again due to the pain I felt. Then there was a loud crash and I turned around to see what happened and see that there was an enormous hole in the wall, and now within the town was the man on the golden horse.
I was still in pain due to the shock earlier so I couldn’t do anything, I just sat on the tower and tried to recover. I then see Gi sorcerers attempt to block the hole with boulders, but the sorcerers were launched into the outside of the wall by the horse man. I didn’t know what to do and so I kept quiet, hoping he wouldn’t see me.
