Dillon moves back, but not quick enough. The gargoyle grabs his ankles, pulling him to the ground.
As Caesar and Amore rush over to aid him.
Dillon uses his powers, to kick the gargoyle, so hard it's sent to the other side of the room.
Just before Amore and Caesar can reach him. Another gargoyle comes to life, and jumps between. It raises its' claw, and takes a swipe at Caesar. But he blocks the strike with his armored arm.
He puts his palm forward, a light appearing from it. Engulfing the gargoyle. Trapping it in a luminescent rectangular box.
Caesar felt very proud, and the next thing he knew. He was knocked to the ground. By a third gargoyle.
"Caesar!" Amore called. Then the fourth, and final gargoyle awakened. Heading straight for her.
As soon as she sees it. She has a thought, and instantly she is shrouded in a glowing pink aura.
The gargoyle claws at her shield, but she is able to keep it at bay. She turns her attention to her allies.
Caesar who's on the ground, trying to block a gargoyle's blows. While Dillon charges toward his opponent. Who is able to meet his bull strength, and they stand there at a stalemate, his fists in its claws.
Amore still defending against her gargoyle, thinks over the dire situation. We can't hold them off much longer, I don't have enough power to trap them, and they're too strong, please Mother Earth, I can't do this alone.
Suddenly the gargoyle stops trying to break her shield, and heads for Dillon.
At the same time, its fellow gargoyle breaks the cage Caesar trapped it in. Going for revenge against in imprisoner.
As Amore sees this she lowers her shield, flying into the air. Taking a look at her allies and thinking. I haven't known these guys long, but I feel like we're friends, and right now they need help, and even if Mother Earth can't help, I can't let that stop me.
That moment, a pink light bursts from her hand. Solidifying into a pink staff, topped with a heart ring, within a circular ring.
A gargoyle knocks Dillon into the wall. While another two bombard Caesar with blows.
Amore deep in her heart knows what to do. She doesn't know how, but she does. Raising her staff to the sky, she announces her spell. "Law of attraction."
Pink waves emanate, from the ring of her staff. Reaching the gargoyles, who almost immediately drop what they're doing, and fly toward Amore.
She takes off flying, as fast as she can. Giving the boys time to get on their feet.
"Amore what are you doing?!" Dillon shouted.
"Buying you guys some time, we solved the last problem by working together, we can do it again."
"She's crazy." Dillon exclaims.
"But, she's right." Caesar said.
"Well do you got any ideas, I'm fresh out."
Caesar starts thinking out loud. "Okay Caesar gargoyles , what is their weakness, wait, it's day, they're suppose to be stone til' night, but you taking the mirror awakened them."
The gargoyles are hot on Amore's tail. She heads straight for a wall, put her foot on it, and pushes off. Flipping herself on her back, and flying backwards.
The gargoyles almost crash into the wall, but correct at the last moment. And resume their pursuit of Amore.
"Dillon how much firefly light can you emanate?" Caesar asked.
"I don't know, I've never does that before."
"I think you can turn them back to stone, if you shine a bright enough light."
"Okay, Amore send them over to me!" Dillon said.
"Are you sure?"
"Me trust."
Amore makes a u-turn, speeding towards Dillon.
Dillon takes a deep breath, and tries to summon, as much power as possible. His abdomen lighting up.
That moment Amore flies right pass him, the gargoyles not far behind.
The light spreads through his body, and becomes brighter. The gargoyles blinded by the light shriek, until crash.
As Dillon's glaring light fades. Our heroes see what has become of their pursuers. Piles of stones, lined up in front of one another.
Dillon takes deep breaths, trying to stop his racing heart. Caesar let out a sigh of relief. Amore smiles. "I told you teamwork was the key." The group chuckles together.
"We should go, before something else happens." Caesar warns. Heeding his words, the three walk out of the chamber.
Dillon halts in the middle of Medusa's crypt. Caesar and Amore stop, and look back at him. "What is it Dillon?" The latter asked.
"Before we go, I want to try the mirror." Dillon said, gazing into it.
"She said it breaks the spell of whatever it sees." Caesar reminded him.
Dillon tries to move his arm, but the petrification has moved to his shoulder. So he places the mirror in front of his arm. He looks at its reflection in the mirror, and wait for the its magic to work. "Nothing's happening."
"Maybe we need to activate it." Caesar suggests.
"Yeah, Mother Earth will know what to do, let's hurry back." Amore said. Her and Caesar rush back to Mother Earth.
Dillon stands there a moment, and stares at mirror. Wondering if his last chance at salvation is gone. He pulls himself out of that thought, and runs to catch up to his teammates.
They make it out of the tunnel, which was in the bottom of a cliff apparently. "How are we gonna find our way back?" Dillon asked.
"You, pigeons can detect the Earth's magnetic field, with that power you should be able find the way home."
Dillon closed his eyes, and began to focus, the next moment, sprouts wings and takes off. Amore and Caesar take to the sky after him.
"Amore, thanks for taking the lead back there." Caesar said, as they fly through air.
"I didn't do anymore than you did."
Dillon doesn't believe that. "Me and Caesar would had been running, in circles without you."
Amore smiled and blushed. "Together I think there's nothing we can't do."
"Even stop Medusa?" Caesar asked.
"Definitely." She responds, with complete faith in their team.
As they goes Caesar marvels at the wonder of flying. The feeling of air passing over him, as he soars. The almost weightlessness. It's so unreal, but exhilarating.
It's not too long before they reach the city limit, and poof. They're plucked from the sky.
They fall, and land in a cluster of green lights. Landing with a thump and, they all groan.
They sit up, take a look around, and realize they're back in The Garden. When Mother Earth materializes. "Welcome back, I'm glad you were victorious."
"Thank you Mother Earth, but could you tell me how to make the mirror work?" Dillon asked.
"The mirror sees your arm's reflection, and reverses the spell." She explained.
"But I already tried that, it didn't work." He told her.
"I told you Dillon, I wasn't sure it would work, I'm sorry."
As it sunk in sadness and fear overtook Dillon. He hands the mirror to Mother Earth. "Thank you Mother Earth, I should probably get home, before my mom starts wondering where I am." He began to walk off.
"Dillon wait, Mother Earth are you sure there's nothing we can do?" Amore asked.
"No my child, I do not know any other way to help him."
"What about Medusa, she caused this, shouldn't she be able to reverse it?" Caesar asked.
"Medusa has no control over her power, she doesn't even understand how it works."
"Mother Earth could you take me home?" A solemn Dillon asked.
Mother Earth waves her hand, and Dillon dissipates.
As Amore and Caesar watch on, they can't help, but feel powerless.
Later that night, after all had returned home. Caesar lays in his bed thinking over today's events. He thinks back to the moment Medusa's snake bit Dillon. He grabs his phone, tries to call him.
Dillon picks up his phone, sees the name Caesar, then puts it down. And just lays on his bed staring at the ceiling.
When Dillon doesn't answer. Caesar calls Amore. "Hello." A sleepy voice said.
"Amore I figured it out, how to save Dillon."
